Your answer on Toxic family, is 100% correct. I'm from a toxic family, I finally left them behind! I'm extremely emotionally scared, the Grace and Love of Yahweh is healing me on the daily. And to anyone who comes across this comment and you are perhaps struggling in this predicament of a toxic family, please do not be afraid to leave. There are many biblical saints who left their family house and they did not die. Don't allow fear to keep you there, take that step into the unknown, The Lord orders them.

Girl I agree with you on living alone. I'm Cameroonian and left my parents in 2013 to study in Germany. Since then I have been living alone. I feel much more responsible, I learn new things about myself everyday you know. I even had instances while in a relationship where my ex will want me to move in with him but still I will turn him down. That belief that our african parents/culture think that we have to move directly from home into a man's house is quite unhealthy!

Believe it or not more people are going through the exact same thing than it may seem. The reason why you don’t hear it a lot is because our culture has taught us to internalize feelings and thoughts that are not culturally accepted; leading to a generational pattern of brokenness, depression, anxiety and so many other things. You can try moving to another state with the excuse that you want to explore more job opportunities or to further your education. Another thing you want to keep in mind during your healing process is that people’s toxic behavior towards you, has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them and most importantly you’re not the things you didn’t do, you’re not the things you didn’t know , you’re the identity you create for yourself today.God bless you🙏🏽
