As a person who also struggled with organized chaos when my children were growing up. I had a eye opening event, I realized that as a parent we have a duty to guide our children to become the best they can be as adults. This is not only educational but self sufficient. So at 10, each child learned about laundry, I started with folding and putting clothes away and hanging up. Then we cleaned the kitchen as a family each night. Lots of laughter and some grumpy..lol. This was only the beginning and my saving grace. Love watching your videos, it helps me remember when my children were little.

Hi Beth - I've really been enjoying your channel and how you keep it real. I gotta say that your plan to just stay on top of your kitchen and living room is a great idea. Over time, you'll likely feel less overwhelm if you know there are 2 areas in your home that are always "under control". It will also free you up to tackle other areas that need more attention on any given day. It doesn't have to be perfect, but if you know you are keeping your counters clear, dishes done, living room picked up and tidied every day - you'll be ahead of the game! I'm rooting for you and I know you can do it. You deserve the peace of mind that comes with knowing you don't have to be overwhelmed by tasks in the house all the time.

Is my last reply not showing up? I wrote back yesterday saying I totally agree. Dang it! Just in case: I totally agree that saying on top of kitchen and living room will be so helpful. Plus it’s the majority of the visual space so I feel like I live in a clean home, which makes me tidy the other areas here and there because they don’t match the tidy….. if that makes sense
@sandraerskine30017 ай бұрын
Ex military here and single mom. You have 3 assets in your home right now. You son can be responsible for making sure that the dining table is set for dinner each night and is cleared off after the meal. Your 2 girls are responsible for cleaning up the kitchen at the end of each day. If you cook .... then they can clean up afterwards. All 3 are responsible for picking up the living room area before bedtime. Of course, they are all responsible for their rooms. Their bedrooms are to be straightened out before going anywhere on the weekends. If they share a bathroom, each sibling will take turns cleaning the bathroom once a week. (If necessary, post a "duty" schedule on the back of the bathroom door so there is no argument as to whose turn it is to clean the bathroom.) They are responsible for folding and putting away their own clothes. Absolutely, positively, NO excuses. This leaves you with the laundry and the master bedroom and any other common areas. You choose 1 day a week or even just one afternoon a week for your time to spend on you - even if it's just to sit on the sofa with a pitcher of ice tea and a book or to go shopping or to spend time on a hobby or to have a few friends in for coffee and cake. The three kids are responsible for dinner on that day even if it's just macaroni and cheese and hot dogs. (If they order a pizza, etc. for the family dinner that night, they have to use their own money) Woman, you are their mother NOT their maid. You're running yourself ragged.

What a nasty comment! If you think her house is 'filthy' then youre the one with the problem here. Not everyone likes to treat their children like little slaves or have them walking on eggshells because their mom has OCD when it comes to cleaning! And your other ignorant ASSumption that she 'has' to make money on youtube.... lol lol.. try making your own video and channel and see how easy that is. If you think one video pays not only the hours she had cleaned plus the hours editing a video youd be extremely deluded. People either comment to be helpful or hurtful and I know what category you landed in. @@dianneperry2903

There are not babies! They are fully aware of what they doing plus it is so disrespectful that they don't see the hard work you do to keeping everyone space as clean as possible! For them. And for them to turn around and mess it up 😢. It eventually make you feel like you do because you can't see the end result. Plus it's no help. Not at all :) my kids have responsibilities but they do not preform their chores on camera. I have decided to limit their exposure on KZbin and they have final say on any footage that they are shown in. If we were completely honest….the majority of the mess is probably mine. I’m a hugely messy human but I’m trying to improve. Have a beautiful week

@@feraltradwifeplus we wouldn’t have your awesome videos to watch! If your kids do all the cleaning, what would we watch you clean?! Lol! I love your videos and you raise your kids the way you see fit! I have my kids clean but sometimes I like to do the cleaning myself. Nothing wrong with that! You do you!❤

@@lauramitchell6725 it’s “traditional wife” someone who stays home like back in the day. It’s often used as a negative thing, like we are stupid for not chasing a career. I am a traditional wife, but not a great one as we can all see! But I am trying to be more domestic :)

Almost all cleaners, work perfectly if you just LET THEM SIT on stain for 30 minutes...stain in pantry may have been removed if you would have been patient

I don’t understand this mess. The kids need to pick up for themselves as soon as they make the mess. Start them at a very early age and be consistent. It shouldn’t be all on the mom. Also, if there is a dad in the picture…..I don’t care how many hours he works he needs to do his share and enforce these rules of picking up. It looks like no one is picking up….. You do look like your house is big and beautiful. You are very fortunate to have this big ,beautiful house. I hope things get better for you. Remember to stay consistent with the children. Moms should not be doing it all.👍☮️

Мне интересно, вы специально наводите бардак, чтобы потом было что снимать на камеру? Если нет,то ваши домочадцы просто свинтусы...

Thank you! I really like this plan too. Plus these too spaces are the vast majority of the visual space in my house so I’ll kind of feel like I’m living in a clean house and it will bleed over into the other areas. Have a beautiful day!
