This video is not about the horses but about our new SHEEP! This video is from a few months back when we go pick up our first hair sheep! We decided to add sheep to our homestead for a few reason. #1 being to help control some of the weeds in the horses pasture! We plan to do rotational grazing system on our homestead in hopes of benefiting the fields and as a natural parasite control for the sheep. Say a prayer that this goes smoothly!
Follow along with our family as we share our life events while living on our 168 acre homestead, farm and stables!
We are all about raising and training our horses, the Missouri Foxtrotter. Our goal is to bring awareness to this breed and showcase just how wonderful they are! We also raise and train our working border collie dogs. And don’t forget the homesteads sheep, goats and mini cattle!!! We also go to occasional auctions and recently have gotten into regenerative farming/agriculture. We are all about learning how to improve our fields/soil.
Phew! That’s a lot! But we love it! Make sure to subscribe to our channel to follow along!

This was so interesting!! It’s great how you guys are continually doing things to make the farm more productive, and all the while take such exceptional care of your animals! The first video of yours that I saw was the horse in the car 😁. Didn’t realize how many issues the mare had! But as I’ve come to know and admire, you immediately invested time and money to relieve her discomfort, and found a wonderful forever home for her💗. Was so neat to see her in this clip doing so well !!

We have followed Justin Rhodes for a really long time. He rotates his homestead pigs, sheep, chickens and cows through the pastures. It’s so amazing how it works in permaculture sync! When the pigs and sheep have cleared new areas they mow what’s left, throw down some hay and grass seed and shortly has a new grassy pasture for the cows. I’ve learned a lot from the homesteading KZbin community! That’s a lot of sheep!

I really enjoyed this video, even more than usual, and that’s saying something. It must have been so satisfying to see the palomino mare you rescued, who had been neglected and had such painful feet, now heathy, confident, and running freely with her new family. I had to smile when your flock of charming sheep came running from the far end of the field at your call, trusting you and knowing you were there to let them into a fresh new field full of a smorgasbord of tasty greens. Eddie must be happy to have his new home with you too. There is so much caring kindness in the air, the animals respond to it too.

Oh my…. Look at all those sheep (and a few goats)! Thank you for giving us so much information about the sheep. I have never lived on a farm. I know nothing about grass, pastures, or farm animals. I enjoy your informative videos about life with horses, dogs and sheep. I am elderly. And because I plan to “stay put” in my comfortable house, in a small neighborhood with great neighbors, the only way I will enjoy farm life is by watching your wonderful videos. Emeri, you have a lovely speaking voice, and you are a very good story teller. Thank you.

Really enjoyed the video..can't believe it was only March when you got Oliver..I love sheep and goats and on other chanels I've seen they eat different to each other and Alpacas too..using the rotation is so much easier on the land..and I bet they love to change their diet too..must admit never heard of hair sheep..Eddie looks good..nice and sturdy.. looking forward to seeing how all of it goes..god bless you all.. I was really impressed by what JR did about Eddie..he had made the deal verbally but didn't need a ram but stood by hus word..THAT says a lot about a man.. doing good honest things like that and indeed originally saving Oliver will be paid back in good luck and happiness..love your ethics and beliefs..so pleased your youtube chanel is helping you to expand your farm and your stock..now we need to see all the dogs you have..love the herd protectors..Anatolians are the best..but other breeds do an excellent job..as do donkeys as early warming systems..i love donkeys..look forward to the next video. God bless you all..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👏👍🐎🐾🐾🐕🐑🐑🐴🇺🇸
