I need to read the Crown of Oaths and Curses. It looks and sounds like a great book. Also, if you're interested in reading historical romances, I think that Lisa Kleypas is a great start. Especially her Wallflower series. Heard nothing but great reviews from that series.

💫 I just read beyond the aching door and rly enjoyed it HOWEVER I agree the writing is a bit descriptive and I feel like it doesn’t flow with the story well until the fey king is introduced and the story gets more supernatural. It’s a beautiful book but I def think the beginning is a bit tough to get through and does the meat of the story a disservice 🥲

For Historical Fiction I highly recommend Queen of Thieves by Beezy Marsh. I picked it a couple of years ago as my book of the month pick and didn't read it until a few months ago and I immediately ordered the next two books. Its a trilogy that is based on a true story. Without giving too much away its about a female gang from the early 1900s and so forth that are hoisters (shoplifters) and it has a bit of adventure and some romance. It gives flapper vibes at some point. I dont want to get too far into describing it because I went in blind and fell in love and the author gives her input at the beginning or end and describes in each book what led her to writing it. But if theres any historical fiction book trilogy thats underrated and I think a lot of people would love. I cannot recommend Queen of Thieves #1, Queen of Clubs #2, and Queen of Diamonds #3 enough.

Girl delay the Crown of Oaths and Curses all you want, book 2 will hurt that much more. I finished the Throne of Honor and Blood and I am thoroughly struggling 😭

It was such a boring book nothing happened,the ml was an asshole most of the book, the fl was good but I'm not going to continue this series

I think that the Veronica Speedwell series might be a good place to start if you are interested in historical romance. I do thing the Tessa Dare books are closer to what you are looking for, but if you feel like you need a stepping stone, A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn is something I would recommend! It's a historical mystery series with a strong romantic aspect. It's more character focused versus plot focused and it's absolutely hilarious.

I loved the Crown of O&C so immediately downloaded the second book once it eventually came out. I got 52% in and had to DNF it. It was awful, full of grammatical errors, no plot (it went nowhere) and Soren and Rooke turned into two of the most annoying characters. I was quite disappointed but see what you think.

Hi!! I'm annoyed that I can't find the paperback release date for Throne of Honor and Blood....I've been stalking this release and will have to go with Kindle. As for Bridgerton I love the show, the quality of the actors the astetic etc....BUT if I were going to recommend any historical romance Read Anthony and Colin's stories from the series they are the best two! I don't know how they will wrap up Polin's story for the show but the book is cuter....which is not true for all. Simon and Daphne were done better in the show. Anthony and Kate I thought was good but the book great. So I vote yes to Historical Romance also the Hell's Bell's series by Sarah McLean or the Palace of Rouges Series by Julie Ann Long....both of these series are amazing. Great palette cleansers between fantasy.
