In nursing school now. I have horrible testing anxiety and it’s legit! I know the material just nervous but when in a life experiences in caring for others I am on point! Yes, always talk to professors!
@NurseBass3 жыл бұрын
Some programs offer separate testing for students who maybe need that extra seclusion. I don't know how much that would help alleviate the anxiety around the test tho. But nevertheless, best wishes!

Sometimes it's not enough just to know the information. You have to know how to answer the questions too. So my suggestion would be answer questions related to the topic of your test... A LOT of questions

Isn’t it so amazingly convenient that this video was made on the SAME day I took my first exam in nursing school ever?!😂 What a gem lmao. Thanks so so much for this video @nursebass!💯 I now realize that comparing myself to others will only worsen my mental and that I should worry about myself cuz at the end of the day, my classmates won’t be working for me, I will be🩺🙌

I graduated nursing school in aug 2021. The best piece of advice I can give people, put the work in and get a study partner and talk to each other. Do you have a friend or a parent that you can teach your nursing course information to. Because if you can teach it then you know !
@NurseBass3 жыл бұрын
110%. Studying until you can teach it is where mastery of information comes from.

Nursing school is quite elite. A girl said to me omg i didn't do that good. I said, what did you get? She said she got an 80 and I got a 78. That not that bad I said. I am here at the end of term panicked, stressed and feel sick. All because of 78. I really should of got a 92. Feels now a 92 and above is passing. There is no room for C's you will literally be living on the edge. Professor can you recalculate my grade 🥺 please
@NurseBass3 жыл бұрын
I've heard so many stories of folk being so close, like within tenths of points and not getting recalculated. But yes, it's very difficult and having your back against the wall like that is an uncomfortable feeling for sure. Grind on my friend
@dlspsu20073 жыл бұрын
Yes I got some pretty bad grades on those final exams. I overall did well in nursing school. But you are constantly on the edge always. It never ends until Nusing school ends. If your program has an ATI or Hesi Exit exam PAY ATTENTION NOW! to what you are learning. That exam is literally a nightmare. For anyone that needs to study for that exam Purchase YOUR BEST GRADE for the exit HESI and do ALL 3000 questions and know them like you meant to know it. Then you can pass the exit hesi.

82 is not even a bad grade.
@NurseBass2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's not. It can just be on the cusp for some programs, leading to anxiety surrounding making a below average grade and pushing yourself below the passing average. :D

Sadly my professors don’t allow us to review our exams after taking them. I got a 83% on my first exam though :)
@NurseBass3 жыл бұрын
Congrats on the 83! Even if they don't allow you to look at them, if the professor is willing to point you in the direction of your deficiency, even that is helpful. Like "I know you can't show me the exam or go over any questions specifically, but is there an area that I could brush up on more? Such as fluid and electrolytes or COPD, or whatever." Just kind of a general way to hint at help without being given obvious answers :)

Coming back to this video because I just took my first lab quiz of the semester this morning at 7:30. Got a 90% 30 questions and 30 minutes. Deff took your advice to use my last grade as fuel to work harder. I have my first bachelors exam tomorrow at 10 am! And have my head to toe assessment on the 30th!!! The grind is REAL! I love the blood, sweat, and tears of nursing school!
