Thank you Jacquie and Mike for this Podcasts. I've been married 14 years and we went out for 2 years, so in all 16 years. My advice is to communicate always, and no third parties in the relationship only God has to be in the center, that's what have saved our marriage. We are still learning day by day of each other. I married my husband and he already had 4 kids from his first marriage, I am his 3rd wife, and am a mother of a 12 year old beautiful daughter, but happy to say that in total I have 5 kids and 8 beautiful grandchildren. Just keep praying and asking God for guidance, who else better than him. God bless you both and your beautiful family ❤

First of all, Mike I’m so proud of your growth and dedication to growing as a person. You’ve pushed me to realize things about myself I was lying about and learning to be more honest with myself and others. You’ve also encouraged me to truly give my life to God and I couldn’t be more thankful. I love your wife and her family! They’ve helped me too through my journey of life and I couldn’t be more grateful for you guys just being yourselves

Feeling like there's such a big difference between the last three generations. Totally agree about the lack of boundaries.

Heck yeah I agree, its like a huge difference from just 50 years ago.

Mike, please speak more on how tough it really is staying home with the kiddos. This speaks to me as a stay at home momma. Our role is constantly minimized and/or frowned upon in some cases. By family or possibly society as a whole. It’s rough and exhausting at times. 😮💨

Yeah for sure, thank you for sharing and enjoying. Listen, do your best to not listen to the people outside your house and sometimes even yourself! do not feel bad for where God has placed you! there's a reason why you are there!! help your family grow, help them be safe (cuz this world man, is crazy at times) and when things change... be ready to grow again!

I love Jacqie, she is absolutely 💯. There is a difference between teaching your child manners and teaching them to show submission and "respect" to a family member who has not earned it through the child's eyes. As parents we demand that the child endure and obey just so as not to offend because of what they will say about me (parent) and how I raised my children. But it's not fair, it's all because out of FEAR. And therein lies the problem. Fear IS NOT respect. Example, mom says "go and give the uncle a kiss." Son "no, I don't want to." "Why not son?" Son: "he squeezes my cheeks very hard and it hurts." Mom: no, no, you go and give him his kiss and don't say anything to him. "The son HAS to obey and put up with his uncle's uncomfortable squeeze because if he doesn't there be consequences from mom. Child with fear of disopointing mom, getting scolding or punished. All so as not to bother the Uncle and so that the mom doesn't look like an incompetent mother in front of the family. Is it fair for the child? 🍒
