Hey Eva, I'm Ali. I just graduated from high school and I'm very interested in design. Therefore, I have tried many things like Adobe Photoshop and Canva, but I am still confused about how to become a professional designer. Can you advise me on something? I would be thankful if you could get back to me as soon as possible.

Hi Ali! Happy to have you here, welcome to our community. You came to the right place if you're trying to become a designer :). I will be honest with you, becoming a good designer takes much more than learning Photoshop and Canva (also, please never mention Canva to designers ever again :D). If you are serious, you need to invest a lot of time into learning and be willing to learn design as a complex discipline. In a nutshell, I would say there are several things you need to know: design theory, design principles, your tools (like some softwares you mentioned), and then the demand. You can learn the basics and then work with tutorials, practice on imaginary projects, and then you can try to get some small jobs on freelancing platforms to get experience, for example. Btw., I have an e-book, called SCREEN, you can hear about it in the end of the video or check the whole video about the e-book on my channel. I have put all my knowledge and experiences into it and it's meant exactly for beginning designers. It's my product, so I know it seems like I am trying to advertise it, but I swear by it, it's great learning material for beginning and junior designers, and for the price of one better dinner you get all the info you need in the beginning :).
