I LOVE being able to see other teachers' classrooms. I'm a first grade teacher going into my third year. My first day to set up was today and we have meet and greet in about two weeks. I love how much space it looks like you have and how bright your classroom is. :) I also love how organized your calendar time things look.

painter's tape also works really well for separating whiteboard space! I've found it in lots of colors and it's easy to pull up and reposition if needed!

I have that same 10 drawer bin and it doesn't seem that flimsy. I am letting my fifth graders use it and see how it holds up. It just has supplies in it and I have a good group. Now I'm paranoid it won't hold up 😂 I'll make sure I tell them again on Monday to be careful. Lol

I've had one of those carts for a few years now. Keep a screwdriver handy, and you can tighten the screws. Mine is still hanging in there!

I had the colorful cart as well. It last me 3 years before I got a new one. If you have an IKEA they have really nice carts that are not expensive.

With your tables for the classroom you could do 5,4,5 and keep an extra table open that way if you get extra students one can 1 student at the 4 table and the rest to the extra table

Just a suggestion: when I had small classes (under 15) I also placed them in groups of 5 at each table and left one of the middle seats empty so I/interventionist teacher/classroom volunteer could join and work with table as a small group. ENJOY YOUR FIRST DAY AS A TEACHER!

Two questions: 1) I'm making a focus board too for my Kinder classroom and was wondering what you were using to hold up your days of the week cards on the board? Do you put magnets on the back or tape? or Velcro? And 2) What lipstick are you wearing @ 21:10?? I love it so much! Is it lipliner or a lipstick? Looks so natural and pretty on you! Lol one more! Have you checked with the school secretary to see if there's chart paper in the supply closet? Maybe it's different by districts/states, but the two schools that I've worked at had supply closets where teachers request materials from the secretary. Of course not everything is provided, but it won't hurt to ask.

Hey girl! I've had those same colored drawers for 3 years now and mine are still in good condition. Like you, I use mine for teacher materials, so the students aren't allowed to touch them. And I feel ya about the lunch time! We go to lunch at 10:45 and I think I have just adjusted to it over the years and it doesn't feel weird anymore. I do get hungry before I get home though and the kids do too, so for that reason we have a snack time in our room at 2:00. Do your kids get snack? Also, I was just wondering if teachers in Arizona get a card with state money to spend on educational items? We do in MS.
