i agree on the GSX1400 Colours, but the rims would need to be powder coated white imho.

Mine's dark blue, but I've always thought Bandits look classiest in a deep, polished black - can't beat it!

Hi Stefan, I do like the deep blue they did in the mk1 but was you say can't beat a black bandit!

Hey Jeremy, I couldn't go British racing green again but I've seen some brighter greens that don't look bad at all.

So great to see the series is back. Recently got a Bandit 1200N myself that needs some work, your videos are always helpful and interesting 👍
@Classicmotorbikes5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jon, glad you are enjoying the videos. what needs doing to your new bandit?
@jonass9615 жыл бұрын
@@Classicmotorbikes It's pretty rusty since it was just standing in a barn for years so it needs plenty of disassembly, sanding and painting (including the frame so your video on that was much appreciated)

Grate to see the bandit again, as I have one too. I would have loved to hear it run rough, I've also had/have issues with rough running at low rpm. Did a lot already except the petcock. looking forward to the next vid.
@Classicmotorbikes5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tinusch, was only running rough when on reserve when the tank was full it ran fine, just need to give it a good clean out.

Hi Ian, great to see the bandit back, hopefully you can organise a meet up once the weather is a bit better. As for colour I like the original green, but as you powder coated the frame Black I would go with the original black. My bandit also needs a spray job. Keep up the great work
@Classicmotorbikes5 жыл бұрын
Hi Adam, we have been thinking about a meet up in the summer, not sure where in country to hold it but will let you know when we do. I do like a Black bike think this might be the way I go with it.

I think green looks best. And you'll already have most bits done so it'll be quicker

Hey Andy, I've never been a fan of green, think it reminds me of old British sports cars too much.
@nigelsandeman26425 жыл бұрын
Tbh the metallic green is fairly rare. Yours is the only one I’ve ever seen. Black is a good option. Mine is blue but the paint is in good nick so it’ll probably stay like that.
@Classicmotorbikes5 жыл бұрын
Hi Nigel, I'm a big fan of the blue, I think the green is rare as people paint them a different colour. I powder coated the frame black so it will work with any colour.

Great to see the work continuing on the Bandit which as you know I wanted to see finished. As for colour mines met silver...(Suzuki silky silver it's called) and I found that most other colours go well with it. I've looked at many other bandits over the years and found them in various colour schemes and my favourites have been metalic red with flashes of gold. It looked odd to me that your back panel comes off in two pieces whereas mine (k4) is one solid piece. Have you decided if the fairings staying or going or what headlight to use? Can't wait for the next episode (hopefully a long one) and also to see it all painted nicely 😁 ps Love the new intro!!
@Classicmotorbikes5 жыл бұрын
Hey Random Rides, yes the panels do come off differently on the mk1 bandit to the later ones, I'm looking around for some headlight mounts to fit the GSX-R front end so I can take the fairing off. I can't wait to get the wheels powder coated and the bodywork painted, looking forward to riding it again

Love the bandit vids. Do you know whether a stair/crank cover (left side engine case) off a bandit 1200 would fit onto a 600? Also my throttle all of a sudden doesn’t turn (like at all) any ideas? Thanks in advance
@Classicmotorbikes5 жыл бұрын
Hey Shane, sorry on the slow reply, I'm not 100% sure on the l/h side cover I think the 600 and 750 are the same but the 1100 and 1200 are different, not by much but enough not to fit correctly, I would try sticking with a 600 just to make sure it's the correct one. Strange one on the throttle could a few different things, have you had any luck with it?
@shanepeters17565 жыл бұрын
Ordered one for a 6 in the end lol. Only thing I’ve tried is disconnecting the cables from down near the carbs, I pulled throttled and it turned so I’m not sure haha

Thumbnail shows you wheelie, did you teach yourself or go to a wheelie day event? I ask because I'm trying to learn myself on my speed triple but thinking it would be best to practice where I can't knacker myself/my bike,how did you get on?
@Classicmotorbikes5 жыл бұрын
Hey James, hope you enjoyed the live video. I started wheeling mopeds when I was 16 but was never very good, when I started on big bikes that when I got much better a wheeling but when you first start out it’s hard to get over the fear of flipping the bike. I’ve never done a wheelie school but would love to give one a go to improve and I’d always say be careful if you are going to wheelie and cover the rear brake!
