Good find on the bike used! You always put together a great video from drones to good music picks. Must take time to edit. Thanks, and be well.

I've switched to a custom steel build Manzanita 120mm hardtail with dropper and love it (26 pounds with mounts, light, GPS and pedals). I mostly ride locked out until it gets rough. How often do ride locked out? Thanks!

All my Specialized tyres i have used since the 80's have been great. I couldn't do your big mileage with only one hand position. Would you ever use something like the Surly Corner Bars?
@TravelingThru222 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was kind of surprised by how well the fast tracks are holding up, seems like a great tire. I going to put inner bar end grips and aero bars on. To give me a couple more options.

Great bike!! Will you put any frame protection, I am torn on weather I need it or not. Seems more like a piece of mind thing. Even I get rub marks, don't think that will hinder any performance of the bike. I have an epic evo, love it!! But I want a hard tail for the more gravel open roads as well.
@TravelingThru222 Жыл бұрын
I thought about putting frame protection on, but I think I’m going to skip it and just beat the hell out of this thing.

@@TravelingThru222 Thinking the same for my epic evo!! I am also looking for a Epic HT as well for those more gravel open fire roads, like the GDMR..Love all your content, been sharing your PA rides with my daughter. She lives in PA!!

Excellent choice! With the mileage that you do, you want a super efficient bike and the Epics are absolutely perfect for that. I also just picked up a '20 Epic HT Comp while over here in Romania on a long vacation and it's without a doubt the fastest and most efficient climbing bike I've ever ridden. The tires are the same as yours with a Reba fork and carbon Rovals. Its stupid lightweight so if it breaks you can carry it almost as easily as you can ride it. I'll be doing some longer distance riding when I come back to SC in mid November and as for Romania, here everyone rides bikes and they have really awesome trails (lots of mountains/hills in Cluj) so if you ever come to Eastern Europe, you'll definitely want to bring your bike. Just subscribed so keep the biking excursions coming. Take care man. And why tubeless just curious? I would think especially road riding where you actually want higher pressures = less rolling resistance, doesn't that negate the benefits of going tubeless? Not to mention the mess and maintenance of sealant replacement every few months..... to each their own I reckon.

Tubes are fine on the east coast, but west coast tubes don’t stand a chance. I feel the benefits of tubeless out weigh tubes, I always carry a spare tube, tubeless is just the way to go.
