Was there last summer. A long line during a heatwave, but only a quick document control, and I got a “Wow! All the way from Norway?”. But I almost passed out just after, because of waiting in the heat. Stayed two nights in Beograd and loved it. I’ll be back one day.

I think that was a B7 Passat, and we call it DPF filter (Diesel Particulate Filter... filter) for about three minutes before it is removed from every car here :D

In Serbien kannst idr auch alles in Euro zahlen...hatte vor 2 Wochen keine Probleme damit. Aja, der Teil vom TET Östlich von Belgrad zum Großteil einfach Feldwege, bzw Richtung Rumänien dann leichte Sandpisten.

Dude, getting rejected at a border crossing, that's really weird, you must be very suspicious looking. xD I've been to Serbia a number of times, entering from different directions, and never had any trouble. Actually it's more normal to get waved through with a motorbike pretty quickly; they want you take off your helmet for a second to make sure it's you, and that's it. Also, now you know what I meant the other day with ADV vs roadbike suspension; some of the roads there are really... adventurous, to say the least. xD BTW, what is your mobile phone solution? I've always had that problem that, for obvious reasons, there is not EU roaming in Bosnia, Serbia etc. My carrier would charge an arm and a leg for non-EU roaming so I've always just deactivated it. Which has caused trouble with the navigation on various occasions. Many interesting regions to explore in Serbia, anyway. For instance the Iron Gate, if you head east along the Danube. The south also has some great landscapes, but dubious roads and, as far as I experienced it, horrible traffic.

There are a lot small border crossings that are intended only for local people, it is good to be aware of that. And that other border crossing is known for drug searches, i had similar experiences as a local.

The DPF filters are removed when the used cars get exported to Serbia (usually because the fail the emissions tests in Germany), a friend of mine does the software re-programming.

@@FreeMilesMC Absolutely no idea, I have a metalworking business and can only just turn a computer on. My friend is in the business of providing chips to eliminate factory settings for almost everything involved in the automotive branch, naturally only for export vehicles. I know a lot is done by replacing the ECU itself with a copy of another countries module.

I can't imagine a country where it isn't normal to have expended cartridges falling out of your clothes. I find .556 in my shorts, 50 cal in my jeans, 9mm coming out my ears...

@@Knakkerman- This is clearly a spent cartridge. Many people in West Europe collect these or even have them leftover from previous conflicts. Friend of mine who lives in Germany was cleaning out his attic and found a box of his grandfather's stuff which included about half a dozen spent .50 cal rounds.

@@benetnasch2096 The fact that many people collect them in the west (I know people do) doesn't mean that you will get a lot of questions when the police finds this on you. It doesn't matter if it is a used cartridge, guns aren't as normal here.

Serbian flag only have the same colors as Russian , but in different order . Historically Austrians and Germans were big supporters of Croatia , and of course Serbians never liked it - so no crossing - turn back into civilized world !
