It does get better............. when the grandchildren start rolling in, this weekend I had a granddaughter come over so her and I could build a bookcase for her room, we milled some pine cut the boards into slats and made one end she sanded all the timber while I processed a deer for my Neighbour next weekend we will put it all together. We are all rich men when we stay with our families.

My ancestors used rough sawn true 2 inch lumber on our cranberry bog flumes. We rebuilt one and the floor which was submerged for 100 years in the mud was pristine.amazing.

They are involved in the business but don’t do tours, write books, or have their own shows. I love the things they teach and it helped me change the way I live! My net worth is lower than I’d like… But it’s going the correct way now! I am 100% debt free and have a fully funded emergency fund now! 18 years ago this very weekend, I was home all alone, all my family distributed across the Midwest, doing their various activities with family and friends. I was on the tractor mowing the lawn, thanking God for his many blessings for how well my family had grown. I felt I was as rich as a man could be. When I finished and put the tractor away, I went in the house to find a message on my phone that my oldest daughter had drowned in a tragic accident. I wasn't wrong feeling rich with blessings on that day. But I have never since felt that euphoric sense of being on top of the world. No matter what you have been blessed with, it can be taken at a moment, with no reprieve.

We went to Yellowstone this summer for vacation and my boys all said, “ hey dad we could go say hi to Mr Cody and Jack and hang out with them!” I would obviously never just show up like that and I explained it to them as best I could since I have been watching your channel since you started, and my youngest daughter is getting ready to turn 15 and my young boys were babies so they grew up with your content playing constantly and I wanted to thank you deeply for being such an incredibly awesome example to all of us all these years and thank you for standing for God’s Word which is the only constant in our lives as believers and followers of the Truth! The one thing I would definitely add is a government which respected our right to enjoy the fruit of our labor. We purchase property, improve it, and maintain it, and the government says we must make rent payments (i.e. property taxes) in order to keep it.

I absolutely love to see you with your family. My boyfriend and I often start our day watching your videos and I wish that I grew up with a father like you. The kindness and trust that you have for Jack, the incredible respect and love that you show for Mrs. W and how you take the time to stop and include Sweet Loaf when she wanders out in the middle of your project rather than telling her you're busy and sending her back inside with Mrs. W. . My boyfriend is not the biological father of my daughter (5) but he is her "Daddy" by her choice. He is the man that is teaching her how a man is supposed to treat his wife. They have daddy daughter shop time, he teaches her the proper way to build a fire pit, and so many other things.
