I really enjoyed this! You're so much better at parting with things than I am. I always agonize over what I spent, but if I never use it, it was wasted money whether I keep or toss it. I also hate waste -- is there anything you can do with decluttered makeup products? Wish they could be recycled somehow, particularly those that have been barely used or just swatched.

Girl this was ruthless! Good for you. I have so many palettes. I declutter slowly as I notice when I'm not reaching for things. I just couldn't get rid of all but 6 of my palettes. I love what I have. However, I have become Very selective when it comes to new purchases. I want to use what I have. Theres only 3 brands that I get excited about new releases for.

One of the best decluttering videos I've seen! You Kept things that made you happy/ that you actually use. But also were very strict about what you did and didn't need. It proves to me and others that we can appreciate what we have and not feel pressured to buy everything. Thank you for sharing and inspiring all of us to do a decluttering of our own.

I’m decluttering too. Not as much as I should. But. Some friends asked for some things, so I’m just going to declutter things from every category as well and letting them pick a full face (or close to it)(obviously my deeper skin toned friends can’t take any foundation). So many people are getting rid of their kaleidos palettes 😭 one day I will get my hands on one. Lol But I 100% appreciate that you are only keeping what truly makes you happy. I just see palettes and go “ohh so pretty...shiny 🤤” and just love them. Everything else is so much easier for me to pass on. But I am getting rid of some this time around. I have a few brand new ones from Boxy and Ipsy that I know I won’t end up using. Since things are so insanely tight right now, I can’t buy gifts for friends this year. (My kids are only getting two a piece) (everything has just gone up so fast it’s been a slap in the face for this widow)(even rent was hiked up by $100, let alone everything else😭) I had to even cancel boxy and Ipsy. Even just the 12$ bag. I almost cried. I know that sounds silly and stupid. But that was the only thing I did for myself. But my kids come first. We have to eat and have a roof over our heads. I should just have my daughter just take all my stuff and repack all the bags and give me a “new” bag every month 😂🤣 she’s 12 and would have a blast. Bet she could even get her brothers to help. The eldest at least knows how special it was to me. I can see them spending a whole rainy day doing it. Lol

Yasss I was pissed and freaking out when they discontinued the Bold Palette.. then had the nerve to misplace it for the Face Palette. Powdery Blush & the Highlighter… THEY TRIED.. but to me it’s not the same quality as the OG & regular ones. Me yelling @ my phone: Keep The Luck Palette… it was hell getting it (Online and store… for me 🤣) So far you’re doing good. Me: you got rid of all the good things 🥴🤣🤣🤣 Great job! I have never tried Milani makeup. When I was first getting into makeup, drugstore makeup was not great. But just tried the mad for mattes palette by elf and the shades were smoother and more pigmented than any of the palettes in my collection. I even used it for bronzer and was amazed how it blended in. Will definitely be trying more drugstore!! 😁langleyscout

When I did this I gave myself an arbitrary limit. 15. I dont need more and even then thats a lot. I think I’ll stick to that number as well if I buy something….meaning something else has to go. I was just being wasteful and collecting pretty things for the sake of it and now I am actually using what I really love because I was forced to bring that to the forefront.
