Thanks Bob, I'm enjoying this series very much. Poppy is such a hoot! You should probably set her up before you do the electric and stuff; she seems to enjoy supervising the process and can see everything from her chair. These adventures are just the job after a busy day - keep them coming!

Thank you so much for all your help and advice, we’ve been watching your videos including the ones at the Motor Shows, think we’re going to hire a Motorhome for our next holiday before buying one so we’re sure we’re buying the right one for us, thanks again, Jayne and Paul

Looks like you are really enjoying this motorhome! The York Roundtree site sounds rather noisy? Thanks for sharing guys 👍🏻
@BobEarnshawMoHo6 жыл бұрын
Not too bad, there's a bit of noise from the building site and the usual city noise, sirens in the background. I slept well last night though.

I have my arial cable on a cable reel like the power cable. It's a lot better than having it lose.

Hi Bob, external Ariel socket, has it not got 2 plugs in it, looks like it from video shot, one for coaxial push fit on right hand side as well as the one you struggled to screw the satellite F connection ,😁
@BobEarnshawMoHo6 жыл бұрын
No, just the one lead with a male F type connector. There is space for two connectors, only one used.

At 1.32 mins in the video. the shower rack in the corner? Its a system we use a lot here in the Netherlands without having to drill holes in anything at home or the motor home. You first apply the mounting with supplied glue, let it set for 12 hrs, and then attach the appliance/rack/toilet roll/towel rail etc and tighten with a the supplied halon key.
@BobEarnshawMoHo6 жыл бұрын
Thank you, yes that would be a good addition.

Could you not fit your electric lead in by your toilet instead of under the bed, easier to get out if it will, good video as usual Mark
@BobEarnshawMoHo6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comments, I could put it in there but I am not keen on mixing electric and water items.

Are you able to tow a car with the bailey? Or your own motorhome? . Really enjoying these videos! Thank you!
@BobEarnshawMoHo6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I tow a car with my own motorhome, and could with the Bailey. You do need to have the correct category on your licence though - BE or CE. I did a whole series of videos about A Frame towing you might want to look at. A Frame Towing: kzbin.info/aero/PLUi3rqw12j2q2q4KYGAnvYgnTiWI0cdiL

You mentioned that the sat nav takes you down a narrow lane and under a low bridge but if you're using a truck/ mh sat nav doesn't that find a different route?
@BobEarnshawMoHo6 жыл бұрын
It should avoid the low bridge if like mine you can set the dimensions, but I don't want other people getting caught out.
@ralphfawcett3196 жыл бұрын
Steve AtTheVan but if you’re using a mh/ caravan sat nav surely it should do that for you and you should be able to follow it safely?

What app do you use for sites and nav.

Hi , do you ever use the higher grade diesel ? I use it occasionally and I’m convinced I get 3 or 4 extra mpg. If you worked it out it’s probably not worth the extra money it costs per litre but in my mind it’s doing the engine a few favours also. Anyone have any opinions ?
@BobEarnshawMoHo6 жыл бұрын
Not convinced, I think diesel engines are damaged by lack of use and short journeys rather than the fuel.
@copperknob19716 жыл бұрын
I agree they need a good motorway run and get hot, quite often when I use the higher grade diesel I can get 33 or 34 mpg I have never broke through the 30 barrier using standard fuel.

I was born up north, and moved South when I was young. Jenny was born in the South, Hertfordshire, where we met when we were 16. Very observant :-) We now live in the North.

This might be a daft question, newbie here, but, can you only use your coffee maker if you are on a hookup, because of the three pin plug? Really enjoying your content, as usual, thanks.
@BobEarnshawMoHo6 жыл бұрын
It's a question that gets asked a lot, but you're correct, it's a 240v appliance and you can only use it if you have a 240v hook up, or another 240v supply from a generator or 12v/240v invertor. Three pin plugs are 240v, the cigarette type sockets are 12v, and they provide 12v whether or not you are on hook up, because of the on board leisure battery and battery charger.
