We also have 2 lengths of the power cord. Been really handy. All our table, bbq etc has now been removed.. faux pax we forgot to pack the silver screen when we went too the Pyrenees recently. Theres an additional Colour now Trev thats there , as Well as Yours Green n Black, theres now a English Mustard Yellow thats about as Best as can Describe it Youd be Passing Knottingley again From Newark to Cumbria All Those Colours are Stunning and different ..but do like your Blue

Hi Trevor, where did you get that dog crate? We have a Border and it would be great in our Motorhome To be able to stow it away behind the Drivers seat. We currently use a Savic metal one which we place under the van when on site.

We like the fabric one and as long as your Border is crate trained you will be fine. The zipper doors can easily be breached by dogs if they claw at them. You picked a glorious day for setting off. I have a question Trev. As you know I am a newbie motorhomer and was told, no advised, to use food grade hoses and implements when filling fresh water. I use two 5 litre water bottles. I have seen people use watering cans and you packed one. Doesn't that break the food grade chain?. Cheers, Martin.

Yes in theory, if I was to use the water from my on board tank for drinking or food preparation then I should be using a food grade hose. I carry one on board but as we only use the tank water for washing, showering, washing up dishes, flushing the toilet, we use the watering can for convenience and topping up. We carry a food grade Gerry Can for drinking water which is always inside the locked van. We stopped using water from tanks some years ago when someone deliberately put something in our aquaroll when we were caravanning, thus contaminating the on board tank. We believed we knew who did it but couldn’t prove it. We believe the best way is to have a proper 5 or 10 litre drinking water container or use bottled water to be entirely safe 😃🚐 Trev

Hi Paul, I have not had the frost protection heater fitted to the water tank under the van. IH did provide the curtain and rail as part of the final deal. There were lots of other extras such as the tracker and Autowatch alarm enhancement that we had added to secure better insurance premiums too. Hope that helps. 👍🏻

What length is your van Trevor ? I have a 6.36 auto sleeper and I’m getting nervous about reversing. I think I’d feel more comfortable with a shorter van ,, thanks 😊

Our VW Crafter is 6.83 metres so it’s a bit longer. You maybe just need a little practice. Take it to somewhere open like a big car park or playing field and put a couple of bin bags or something on the ground to use as a guide. We get Smirf into small gaps now but it does take a little time to get used to 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev
