Getting started and sticking with an exercise plan

A session at The Myositis Association's 2017 Annual Patient Conference in San Diego led by physical therapy experts Dr. Helene Alexanderson and Sue Maillard. Even with all the good intentions you feel during this conference, it's not always easy to follow through on starting and maintaining an exercise routine. Some insights into how to keep those promises to yourself are discussed.

Here we go again with physios thinking they have the solution to everything. "Just do my exercise plan an you will get better". If the muscles are deteriorating due to an autoimmune response exercising won't help the condition. Its quite infuriating, all polymyositis sufferers want to function better, this functionality reduces as the disease takes hold.
