I finally got it!!! I had to stop thinking about what I do in other software and just really listen to what you were saying (several times) and after prayer, I got it. I was able to customize Chad. You are a great teacher. I sent a question about being able to use pngs, and yes, I can. I deconstructed by original Corel Draw drawing, made each body part a png, and then replaced the parts in the Chad Photoshop file. I realized what I was doing wrong. I was trying to edit Ch, instead of editing Chad's file in Photoshop (DUH) I don't know how I missed it, but I promise you this...I've got it now!!! Some things you just don't forget. Thanks again for your awesome tutorials. I'm excited to really incorporate this into all of my projects. THANKS AGAIN!!!

I think I’m going to learn this technique for introductions to my game videos. The one thing I have which goes beyond animation is my experiences &, without sounding arrogant, my writing. I have had good influences throughout my life & I’ve wanted to be a writer director since the age of 5. I even used pocket money to buy Spielberg & Kubrick films. I kind of let that dream go for a while because I travelled, met my girlfriend (she’s more than dream). I have one problem though - I don’t have a platform to hire people & I don’t like being in front of the camera - or at least showing myself for any person to see - I’d rather be anonymous and let me voice & animation do the work. There’s so much I want to put out there, especially to make people feel good & give them insight into me & how I view mental health - passionately. It is more evident that ever now. Why is this relevant? This revelation led me to your video & you’ve given me the assurances I need that it is possible. That, alone, has improved my mood & I thank you for this. I will give you an actual 👌 because that increases your engagement ❤️

Hi -Once I've made all my character adjustments with handles, facial settings, etc.... Does this information save as partnof the character? Or do I have to go through this setup process everytime? How do we save the character and the associated characteristics we just setup? Thank you
@okaysamurai3 жыл бұрын
All that should be saved. In record mode, if you click the icon in the upper right of the Properties panel (person with an arrow pointing up), it will push any scene changes to the original character as well. If you go to File > Export > Puppet, whatever values show up in Rig mode will be saved with the puppet file.

Excellent and to the point. Will be of help to new users. Suggestion: would love to see advanced workarounds (character turns, multiple angles/multi views, smooth/fluid body movements, production quality squash and stretch etc.). I see a great future for CA (perhaps better than Animate), but it is still miles away from competing with other mainstream products. Yet, for some reason, seeing the rapid progress, like keyframes, physics, magnets, I believe the software can easily give it's competitors a run for their money in a few years time.
@okaysamurai4 жыл бұрын
Yep, more advanced tutorials are on the way this year. It's pretty amazing to see what people like Our Cartoon President and Tooning Out The News are doing with CH for broadcast-quality animation - hopefully I can dig into some of those techniques here in the future!
