Grace, I’m a long time silent watcher …I was sitting here watching this video just now and was thinking to myself “boy, Grace is in a really good mood today she’s buzzed”. Then it dawned on me, I had changed my video speed to 1.50 and forgot to switch it back!!! 🤭🤣🫣 Love you girlie! 💗💗💗

RD here. To reassure your friend, there isnt solid evidence that abstaining from a certain food during pregnancy causes allergies. Her best option would be to ensure it was one of the first “foods” the baby is introduced to from 4-6 months. This approach (unless an allergy has been diagnosed) is the most evidence based way to prevent allergies

We are currently having our kitchen done had a consultation with wicks but then went with Howdens and saved so much £10,000 ! Worth looking around

I redesigned my kitchen a few years ago. I got a high-end kitchen designer in and then purchased everything from Howdens/E-bay/B&Q. My son-in-law is a self-employed plumbing/heating engineer so moved the boiler and installed it at cost price. We just had to do the labouring work (hard work) but well worth it as it saved me multiple thousands.

I just love your vlogs so much- it’s amazing to see how happy you are! Long time watcher down here in NZ (I hope that doesn’t sound weird!) keep being you Grace, you’re amazing ❤

I’m the same when it comes to food textures, really struggle with mash. There’s a couple of things I’ve found that help, One - make it cheesy (everything is better with cheese!) and Two - make a crunchy ‘topper’. I love the one that’s made on the Bon Appetite thanksgiving series (just search for the potato episode). It’s a mix of salted crisps and breadcrumbs, fried off in butter and garlic. Finished off in the oven to really crisp up and then tossed in a mix of salt, pepper, smoked paprika, lemon zest, thyme and parsley. I make a load (it lasts ages) and then use it on mash, on pasta bakes, on shepherds pie - it’s soooo good! And it can hold up to a bit of gravy too, as long as you don’t drown it.

Never understood the love of mash potato, no texture not filling. Why mash when you get roast with herbs and spices and have that texture also mash adds unnecessary calories with the cream/butter/dairy etc.

We’ve just had an IKEA kitchen put in and we loved the whole process from design (which they are so helpful and inspirational) to fitting. The storage space is second to none, something which was really important for us. Looks beautiful too 😊And so much cheaper than most other places!

Our boiler is in our loft, with a loft ladder and little bit of boarding so it's easy and safe to access. It's been massively worth it for us as we have a small kitchen too

Avoid wren at all costs! We had so many issues with them, from bad vibes in the design appointment to issues with the fitter and waste collection!
@RebelAlliance42Ай бұрын
Stir in a little diced raw onion in your mashed potatoes after you're done mashing them. Also, you've got to use old, floury potatoes, red potatoes are really good. Use more butter and finely ground white pepper than you think. And finish the mashing with a hand mixer. Best served with gravey, obviously, whether it be from a roast, stew, or atop a pie 😋
@katespalding2134Ай бұрын
We had an ikea kitchen that withstood 3 boys. We had a walk in food cupboard that’s in a corner which is fantastic. It was from Wrens

Wren kitchens have a bad rep for sloppy installations and lack of aftercare should you need it. :(

we recently got a wren kitchen! some things turned up damaged and some things didn’t turn up at all or didn’t fit. kinda annoying as it delayed everything
@sarahgosden1088Ай бұрын
You should try the fresh taro bubble tea, it's like a kind of warm sweet potato mash at the bottom and cold milk on top, sounds weird but so good. Also you need the tapioca Bob's in the milky ones, maybe they were hidden but i couldn't see them in this or the video where you tried the did rose
@sarahbainbridge8309Ай бұрын
Wren were awful when I went for a planning session with them, very rude. One bit of advice, don't go for the corner pull out baskets, we did, and they are actually crap and break!

When it’s comes to mash I have to be in the mood for it
@Elwene2frАй бұрын
Hey Grace, why don't you leave pieces of potatoes in the mash? (unless you don't like the texture either). When I made mash as a kid I'd never fully mash the potatoes because my dad didn't like it either. I'd like it better with some chunk left. He's not here anymore but I still do it like that.

Hi Grace. I'm in the same process of getting the kitchen done. Please check out DIY Kitchens! They appear so much cheaper and have more options to pick from than other stores. There's quite a few YT videos to show the differences between all the brands and DIY kitchens seem to come on top for quality and price. We haven't decided 100% yet and had the same Wren Kitchen issue (not being so helpful with obstructions!). IKEA is also quite inspiring for ideas and a good excuse to go. 😉 Best of luck with it all, I'm sure it'll turn out amazing!

Yes people love to say that about pregnancy and peanuts. I no joke ate it at least once a day during pregnancy and breastfeeding (because I love it!) and my toddler is anaphylactic to peanut 😢butter
@e.urbach7780Ай бұрын
Yes, food allergies are strange things; in the U.S., because they can be so deadly, they are legally defined as a disability that qualifies for accommodation in certain situations. I am also anaphylactic allergic to peanuts as well as all tree nuts and sesame, and there are certain restaurants I can't eat at, or even walk into, because they use so much peanut oil or sesame oil in cooking, or they have bowls of peanuts sitting out on all of the tables for everyone to eat from. My doctor said that allergies are a hormone-related thing, and are hereditary to an extent, and that the severity of the reaction to the allergen can change (get more or less severe) at times when the person's hormone levels are changing, so I would encourage you to have your child allergy tested again during puberty and again during his or her early to mid 20s; my allergies changed drastically (I was born with the tree nut allergy, but could eat peanuts and sesame just fine) when I was 25 and I ended up in the emergency room after eating homemade Thai food that had no nuts in it, but did have peanuts and sesame oil!

You should get cabinets that go up to the ceiling for storage. Invest in excellent not just good appliances because they last forever! I have had Miele and swear by them. Hire a kitchen designer then shop for kitchens. She may see where you can get more space.

Don’t rule out Ikea and DIY kitchens (considered the best for quality and price by a lot of people who’ve done comparisons) - you can always get someone to install them (if you can’t do that yourselves).
