Mike, I appreciate the time you put into your videos. I farm by myself, without anyone to talk to.... Watching a nice guy like you is very uplifting! Thanks again

Great video. My family is about ready to send me off to the orphanage because of the time our TV at home spends on these farming videos. If they only knew how bad I want to do this, they would find me a farm to work on. I would just about pay someone to let me come work in their fields a day or two to get some tractor time in.

Corn looks nice , it'll sure like that N when the roots get there! My old man always said put the hood ornament between the rows and don't look back. Day or two of the great outdoors is nice but you'll be ready for the cab back pretty quick! 28% sure is a greasey , corrosive product, probably safer than ammonia but still a pain to handle!! Thanks for the video!

A Millennial would freak out because they do not have GPS guidance to steer for them while side-dressing the corn! Growing up, my "GPS Guidance System" was a tree at the other end of the field. It may have been at a slight angle, but at least the rows were straight!

That 29 is a sweet running machine. Not a lot of power but drives good and runs out good. I always enjoyed side dressing corn and cotton with liquid rigs. Have used gas but hate the stuff. Kinda dangerous. I was overcome once when the regulator malfunctioned and wouldn't shut off. Got some scorched lungs out of it. Darn fine looking crop and cows.

I've used a cordless drill and socket to start a pump motor when the cord broke before. Nice hack if it can't be fixed right away.

Just wondering, what's the difference between sidedressing and just spraying? Is it that you put the fertilizer more precisely with the sidedressing?

Fun to watch video. Seems like things are always happening on the farm that you have to work through. What camera do you use to take footage? It has good resolution.

I side dread some corn last week for the farmer I work for and going to try and do more tomorrow hear in central Minnesota. I have a question when that one pease sheared off how did you stop the fertilizer from comeing out did you just shout the pump of or something else?

@@kutzeeuw yes pretty much. Some sugar beets are in near Saginaw valley but the rest couldn't even get in the fields even now almost July. Like I say you can drive anywhere and the fields are bare. A few tile Fields we're planted and that's it. Governor has ok'd fed help alot of small farm's without insurance probably go out of business.
