In Linux Alsamixer, I’ve set DigiRig mic gain at 100, but still seeing low transmit audio (avg 5-12) in Direwolf. However, transmit audio level seems fine when using DigiRig/Direwolf on Windows. Any tips? I’m using FT-857D and FT-817ND I’ve tested received audio on those radios by transmitting packets from my TH-D74a, and that HT is able to produce very nice audio levels (as received by Direwolf). It’s frustrating that my 5W HT can easily reach the local digipeater, but I’m unable to do so with the 857 even at 35 or even 50 watts. Wondering if this is all an audio level problem in Linux. Cranking the PKT gain up on the radio aren’t seem to change the audio levels either.

I have a good dire wolf setup video I would check out as a reference. You may have AGC turned on in alsa, or the master may be reducing it. Generally, I keep my mic gain at 10, and adjust from the radio. Just make sure AGC is muted on the digirig channel.
