I like your explenation. You go deep and explain it from the bottom and up. You have helped me a lot to enter the CNC world. Have a nice sunday. 🇧🇻

I missed the name of the cadcam program you used to write the program. Nice mill and video. I would cover the z-axis ball screw to protect the bearings from chip dammage.

could you explain how the cutter ends back to the start point so you can change the tool.

Is it possible to use the tool information section to set you tool heights without having to reset your zero every time?

Also, is this machine capable of 3d scalping?

Thank you, Roger yes, it is a very nice piece. I would like to know if it is possible for the software (programm) to do the setting of z automatically?

I am curious about your cooling pump set up, I have a mister system but your flood system is interesting to me. What are tou using for the pump and recirculation system?
@rogerwebb96002 жыл бұрын
Hi Henry, I use an 80 Watt fish tank pump

Hello how are you? Can you tell me if it is possible to make a tapping thread ?

Good evening, wouldn't it be better to program the center drill and following operations (in Fusion 360) on a stock that is 0.5 mm smaller, so we wouldn't have to do "the 0.5mm thing" again and again? There would also be less chance of making errors?
@cwozildjian2 жыл бұрын
Yes or you can just type in -0.5mm so it would be the same difference. If you kept the drill where you zerod it without having to jog it up to +0.5mm. Edit* I'm actually not sure if you can do that in mach3 like more expensive CNC controllers I haven't tried it yet so that may be the reason he does it like that.

Hi Roger Just to say, I'm quite sure you can set the Z at the bottom of the job, then no need having to keep setting Z height I could be wrong Lol Great videos
@johnbosson34842 жыл бұрын
You obviously need to set the z zero position every time you change a tool bit - great videos Roger - very easy to understand for a beginner
@eddie13302 жыл бұрын
Yes every time you make a tool change you right I used to have a cnc machine myself If you set Zero at the bottom It's sometimes easyer, that's all I'm saying

That would only work if the original work piece is flat and true.
