Getting started with Foreman & Katello - architecture design, provisioning and Puppet

In this video, new user Mason and community manager Gwmngilfen jump into a live debugging session, walking through getting Foreman up and running for the first time.
Starting from a fresh install of Foreman & Katello (with the Centos repo synced) we go through some of the history of why things are designed the way the are, take a look at some health checks that the system is set up correctly, create a new host from the Katello mirror, and finally install and apply some Puppet code. Enjoy!

So RedHat's Satellite is just a skinned and specific added functions Foreman. Even de logs are named Foreman.

Hi Carlos, Yes. Foreman and Katello of today become the Satellite of tomorrow. There is no technical or UI difference. Rather, it is a cost vs. expectation of support question. Hope that helps to clarify.

yeah first thing i noticed was that my foreman doesn't have dhcp etc installed. I didn't see anything about setting one up during install.

@@Foreman this video is even more useless. Where is a basic setup to provision a host? How can I setup standalone provisioning server? This basic instructions seem missing.
