I see that there is automatic easing between the 'keyframes' of the transform, I took a look myself and don't see a way to make the motion linear. Is there any way to set the easing? For complex interactions like say if you're wanting to show a lifter on a cam where rotation is converted to linear movement, the easing would cause problems.

Can you do motion links and joint rotation in animation? Or does it forget all that?

Not within Fusion that I'm aware of. You'd have to use an external software for that I think.
