THANK YOU! I have been thinking of starting to learn this for hobby projects, and have been frustrated until now. I use a Cricut, and the software is very similar to Windows....but fusion is a more professional tool that needs some work. I sat, watched and have been able to create what I want to draw, well started to anyway.

This Might be me getting ahead of myself. And maybe you did it this way to show the tools better. But I found once I had one wall and one side I merged the two objects and them duplicated them and rotated them/moved them until they moved into each other such that I mirrored the shape and had both sides and the front and the back. Is there a reason not to do this?

Thank you very much for your perfect information of the McMaster-Carr library, I'm learning to work with Fusion 360 and I've a question, in my Fusion practice I need bold 91271a760 and then 3D-Step, after click on Product Detail, and Scrolling down, I can't find the Save button? Maybe because I haven't logged in to McMaster-Carr? Or there is a solution for this problem please?

Hello That was a very good video Kindly reply I'm unable to do one thing that is I'm unable to extrude the circle . I've a very larger thickness of both front and end bodies.. maybe it could be the reason I'm not to extrude Kindly tell me what is the reason When I give the extrude command, there is not way of selecting the circle for extruding

Hello. I am designing a table that has a Danish paper cord weave. Can you please advise me how would it be more correct to make such a weave? I can't think of anything except drawing each type of line by hand and copying it...

Thank you for the video. How to make a restriction on movement depending on the location: that is, when 3 components are connected by movements and depending on the movements of one first relative to the other, the restriction of the other changes relative to the third (perhaps I wrote it unclearly)

Critical information is missing ... clearance. How can I set the clearances? in the real world a 3D printed 0.5" PLA screw will not fit in a 0.5" PLA nut without some clearance.

Your comment, "construct it differently" solved my issue. I have a solid revolved body with extruded rings on the outer surface but combined them several steps ago; the shell command was giving me results that I did not desire. I will go back and now join them after performing the shell command on just the main revolved body. Thanks!

Thanks for that free image resource. And there I was modeling a brick and patterning it to get the mortar lines. But might still have to do it to match the look of the brick on corners of a house.

if your rotating a profile line why cant you select more than 1 face. also if you rotate less than 360 the shell doesn't allow you to select the end faces. any suggestions as to why.

These arnt bad but you're still just doing actions and selecting options with out actually explaining where to find them, it makes your 18 minute lesson in to 45 minutes of skipping back to see what your doing so I cam do it to follow. Also you entirely skipped making the curved line using the loft, the video jumps from not there to there and your still explaining as if this is a refresher for people who know and not a beginners tutorial

Excellent video!!!! I intend to make a little garden shed for my kids. Only on question: I did these kind of drawings till "yesterday" in sketchup - within sketchup there is a possibility to deal with several styles (like freehand, different line types, ....) Is there any possibility in fusion 360, too? Thx

This has been a good video compared to other but you really need to slow down and properly explain steps and where to find things instead of just going to options and doing them. I spent 10 minutes skipping back and playing it again just to grasp what your doing while trying to do it myself. For beginners it's far to hard to keep up while splitting attention. You teach as though this is a refresher for a second year class and not step by step explanations for people who haven't touched this program

Would be nice to explain what actually happens at 18:25. Just before that you drew a rectangular sketch which covers all the walls faces (looking from bottom). And suddenly this sketch doesn't cover the face you selected during creating sketch. Confusing.

This was very useful; I learned and practiced a lot! This is an older video...some of the interface dialogs are slightly different. In particular, I couldn't get your "midplane" technique to work (long description omitted). Further research indicated that I should create the table top as a Centered Rectangle, centered on the origin. I was then able to create the patterns as taught. That said, I could see needing to find a center point of an object that ISN'T centered on the origin...future skill learning. I also named the components for what they are, e.g. "Leg," and used the component's Description Property for the dimensions, which gave me a more understandable Parts List (wish I could attach a screen snip...).

Great video. Might I suggest including design concepts for beginners. For example, Why separate "Bodies?" Why not "Join" as a selection as you add to your model.

Hey, Justin! This is a great start to parameters! I'm trying to move to Fusion360 after using SketchUp for years -- one thing I don't understand how to do w/ the parameters is how to have the model also create and adjust the # and placement of the dadoes on the shelf sides that would be needed if the shelves were seated in the dadoes instead of just butt-jointed -- As the parameter for number of shelves changes, the number and placement of dadoes would have to change along with it. Can Fusion360 do this?

The reason I want to know that function! It's nothing else but a "police mobile armored vehicle"! I asked this question because I want to model with this program, make the parts in 1/72, 1/24, or 1/35 scale and print them out as parts with a 3D printer! 0:08

I am trying to create a duct having a parallelogram profile at one end and a circular profile at the other. I linked the central axis of both with a straight line - acting as the rail. I wanted the finished part to be hollow with a 5 mm thick wall all along the model. All I can get from the loft tool is a completely solid body. Is it not possible to use the loft tool in this way or am I missing something ? If anyone has any suggestions I would be pleased to hear from them.

This is good for a broad stroke sheet. But, how do you do this for 1 component of the entire model? For instance, I've got a shelving wall unit designed. Outer box, 2 vertical dividers and 12 adjustable shelving boards. This will only show, it's sides and whichever detail (zoom) views you create. Without being able to print 2D plans for the specific components, I think this is too broad to be useful (by itself) ;(. I finally figured out how to do this (might have been self-explanatory to more experienced, but I'm a newbie :)); when you create the drawing, select "Visible." Then, once the initial body is positioned, uncheck all of the components except the one you want to "detail." Then you can create the 3D plan for the "top," "bottom," perspective view, and an edge on perspective. You can use "detail view" to create a "zoom," but I haven't figured out how to rotate a particular perspective view itself, which I think would be helpful. Also, remember perspective views are TOTALLY dependent on the position of it with respect to the body. That's a pain as it ends up minimizing the ability to "step" organize the 2D plans :(

I hope somebody can explain me this. At 8:15, why is the rectangle the whole width, and we're splitting afterwards? Can't you do ShellWidth-ShelThickness*2 right away?
