Greetings! Welcome to our channel. In this first lesson on Google Spreadsheets (Google Sheets), I'm going to show you how to get started with this powerful tool.
What is a spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet is an application that allows users to organize, analyze and store data in the form of tables. Spreadsheets are composed of rows and columns that form cells. Each cell can contain individual data or formulas that are used to calculate values based on data in other cells. Examples of spreadsheet programs include Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Apple Numbers.
What is Google Sheets?
Google Sheets is a free cloud-based spreadsheet tool similar to Microsoft Excel. Anyone or any business can use it to collect, organize, and analyze data for almost any type of project (including contact lists, budgets, and just about anything else) you can imagine.
