Thanks for the videos. Could you please recommend what shall you pay attention to when buying a thermal compound when upgrading the CPU? There are too many options.

Hey this seemed exhausting for you since you're still recovering. You can probably do a voiceover after recording instead of speaking and also moving around, next time. Take care and I hope you recover soon!

Pretty much fully recovered now thankfully as did this a few weeks ago, I really don't reccomened it though, exhausting even for someone fairly healthy

Hey Jim, wondering about the CPU temperature on the iDrac is that accurate? it start off with around 40C then go up to 60-70C only running on Esxi8 with 2 VMs server 2022, i have the HP DL360 Gen9 running 4 nested esxi8 and CPU temperature only around 40C-45C
@JimtheITguy Жыл бұрын
What power profile are you running? Make sure it's os managed, also check fans arnt clogged and thermal compound is good
@sunnylm2045 Жыл бұрын
@JimtheITguy no idea it just freshly installed esxi 8 evaluation and then installed nested esxi and another window sever 2022 180 days evaluation. I did tried installed just one window server 2022 directly before and temperature was the same 60c+, I will check with the thermal paste, just wondering if your similar or lower?

Just received my server, couldn't install esxi 8 with perc h310, someone told me it work with perc 710, have you try esxi 8 on this server?
@JimtheITguy Жыл бұрын
ESXi 8 isn't supported on this server and you will get the CPU unsupported warning, not sure if a 710 perc would work either
