I have two comments to make. COMMENT ONE: On this video and the other RM9 videos, viewers have asked questions and I hardly see any answers posted? So what is the point of even having this comment section when RM developers or their Staff don't respond? COMMENT TWO: Mr Buzbee has said in his videos "if you see something or a feature you would like us to expand on and give more detail" how do any of us let you know?...is there a Suggestion section I have missed? Or do we just leave the Suggestion in the Comments section...never to be acknowledged? You have done a fantastic job on RM9 and kudos to you BUT please up your game when your followers are asking questions 😊 ps I'm am finding the RM9 videos somewhat hard to follow along as they are going so fast...please slow them down a bit. Cheers

Just a quick FYI--you can use settings on KZbin to slow down or speed up videos. 🙂 Click on the little "gear" setting for these options. I hope this helps.

I updated my version of Roots Magic from 4 to 9. Now I can't figure out how to add the date of birth for a person. I didn't have to read a manual to use version 4. Now I'm going to have to listen to an hour video to something that should be very simple.

Does it give an option for you to customize when there is a divorce and the children from that previous marriage?

File > Save wasn't explained or perhaps I missed it. By habit when I am working in other programs say Excel or Word or whatever and I have entered a bunch of work, every 15 minutes or so I always click File > Save just to be safe in case there's an interruption like power etc.then I continue on working or perhaps just taking a short break. I'm CONFUSED about this for RM9. Please explain. Than you😊

The "save" feature for RootsMagic is File>Backup. Hope that helps.

I know what roots magic does. !!!! I only need to know how I can get over 30 years of research on my roots magic from windowsXP on to my new lap top windows10 as it has not got a CD slot and only an empty roots 7 comes up when I ask on my new Laptop I am 85 and do not have 30 years to start over again. please give me instructions to get my original info so as I can complete it. I am willing to puchase a USB but would be useless if no info on it. You sent me a new CD in 2018 but also useless as no slot for a CD disc

Volume was fine for me, and I have a hearing problem. I do use an external speaker with a knob for volume control. 🙂

Ancestry connectivity is still a steaming pile of ####. No option to see the you password before hitting enter, no functioning support for multi-factor authentication (turning it off on the account while you download a tree isn't a real solution, and only for those using an unlinked Ancestry account, while users with linked Google / Apple OAuth accounts are plain out of luck). There's no option to NOT DOWNLOAD the many GBs of citation imagery every XXXXXXX time, assuming you wanted a set of the BMD and Census index page scans the first time you backed up a tree. As it will only be for a backup purposes, as without spending far longer confirming you want every altered field pushed back to Ancestry or not, than it would take you to update Ancestry directly, you'll never try to sync a tree tweaked in this toy. The option to export a straight pedigree chart, that disappeared between version 7 and 8, is also still AWOL .
