I've toyed with the idea of getting a teeny for a while now. So, thanks for kicking the wheels for us. Yeah, looking forward to seeing the new lab! Praying the move goes smoothly.

Teensy 4.0 is a beast of a board. Insane floating point calculation speed. Many extra hardware options. Only down side is that the rt1060 manual is 3437 pages. I had to read a chunk of it to do hardware specific things like flexio and dma.

Hey you know this MCU kit is damn powerful, the 4.1 has some pads for external serial RAM or flash, the M7 at 600 MHz... Sheesh, this system would rival what was available in the mid 90s

I've used a Teensy 3.2 for making an electrical resistance tomography prototype... It worked awesome and they are so reasonably priced for their capability. I could measure voltages from 128 pin combinations and output via usb to the computer at over 50 Frames per second which blew my mind for $20. My next project is a Halloween candy dispenser and I'm thinking a Teensy 4.0 might be the heart of it because I'm after triggered audio playback.

Click-Bait Title, designed to startle and confuse the viewer. Standard KZbin behavior…. Do whatever it takes, including exaggerating, confusing, mis-directing, prevarication, and yes, out-right lying about situations… Honesty has gone by the boards. I just ‘Thumbs-Down”… Sad, because this guy has good videos, and can stand on his quality.

i guess "good for audio" means it features a fixed processing rate.. at that clock speed, you ought to be able to run a fourier transform or two and do spectral transforms. hit me up if you want code or tips for doing stuff. thanks, always overlooked it.
@learnelectronics3 жыл бұрын
It has a super fast floating point co-processor which makes it excellent for DSP or so I've been told. I would love to have some coding tips on audio work. Email me at Arduino0169@gmail.com
@bluegizmo19833 жыл бұрын
I've always viewed the Teensy as a device that sits between the Arduino and ESP32... It's more powerful than an Arduino, but less capable than an ESP32 (no wifi/BT/etc). One thing the Teensy DOES have over the ESP32 is the ability to emulate USB peripherals, which makes then useful for BadUSB type devices.
@learnelectronics3 жыл бұрын
The Teensy also features a very fast floating point math unit which makes it excell in DSP. You could build an entire synthesizer or radio using the Teensy, some buttons and a speaker (and antenna if doing radio)
