Ed Ricker Vlogs hi I have a question. I can't see in the app the voltage monitor of the battery in the right up corner main screen like you show in the video . Why ?
@EdRickerVlogs7 жыл бұрын
Good question! I tried going through the app to see where one might toggle that on or off and I can't find it. The Mavic has that setting toggle in the Battery panel of the DJI GO menu. Seems to be default for the Apple iPad with the Spark.

Hi.. I just brought my spark less than a week. My problem is hand gesture take selfie photo myself. I confusing in led lights green, Orange and red. Green = recognized Orange = get ready Blinking Red = snap in If u can demonstrate a new video show as how that work? And last problem is spark drone link to RC remote or spark drone link to smartphone either way both are WiFi. But when I disconnect go to smartphone or RC remote to spark I have to rebinding again over and over why such a hassle?!? I had a bebop 2 drone never happen.

Just found your tutorial on getting started with the Spark.I have watched a lot of these types of tutorials and this is by far the best i have seen.Well explained and no unnecessary fluff just the facts.Everything i wanted to know you covered.I have had my Spark for over a year and have hardly used it because of a fear of doing something wrong or crashing so it has sat in a cupboard until today when i saw your video.Given me the push i needed to get it out and start flying.Thank you so much.Will post again after i have a play this week.

I had my first (uneventful) flight with the DJI Spark today and it was great! I don't think I can overstate the impact it had on me. This is NOT like other drones and RC stuff. It has a special category in my mind now that I've actually flown it. I'm so glad I was concerned enough about the success of my first flight that I found videos like yours to guide me through it. I needed every bit of advice and walk through's I could get. Keep it up! Thanks.

There is definitely a steep learning curve with these DJI drones (compared to the oodles of toy stuff out there). This is a very well done video on most of the basics. One thing that was *not* covered was how to make sure the Remote has "Home" set before flying. If "Home" is not set and you have some kind of issue, Return to Home (RTH) is not going to work! So be sure to set that! Also note that if you set RTH in your front yard then drive to a park several miles away *and do not set RTH to the new "Home" at that park* -- guess what happens when you press RTH from the park!

Well I have to say the presentation was amazing, I listened to quite a few on you tube, but this guy has it spot on, his voice is easy on the ear, his words are clearly put across, and aside from the fact I still can't get my drone to couple up I can not fault this video. How I wish I was able to go one on one with Ed so the drone could be up and running this year.. I suppose people like me should really NOT be involved with electronic magic but the temptation to fly must attract people of all ages..So I will leave it there, it would take for ever to explain my situation, but suffice to say I have to find a person to help me get the SPARK set up. Ok, Thanks for the video..10 out of 10.. Cheers Barry...ps I am 70

Nice job with the video!!! Just a couple of comments. First, the iPad Mini 4 fits nicely with the Spark controller. Just aim the first corner into the center of the opening in the arm before sliding in the other corner. The added benefit is the Mavic $20 sunshade fits the Spark controller perfectly and doesn't create the bulky mount/hood system you showed. I originally bought one similar to yours before trying the mount directly. By now KZbin would be full of "Help, my iPad Mini broke my Spark Controller" videos and I haven't seen a single one. I like your comment about the cellular model iPad which I also have. I haven't tried it, but I assume this would allow you to do the Live KZbin streaming away from WiFi. Another little tip is that if you're comfortable flying drones and are in a fairly open area, turn off obstacle avoidance and the speed will double to 13 mph or so. The gimbal seems to work fine at the higher speed. Thanks again!
@EdRickerVlogs7 жыл бұрын
Hey Hugh, thanks for the comment. I've really tried to make the iPad Mini 4 fit into my controller arms but it really is a no-go. Perhaps I have a differently designed Spark controller since I preordered? Not sure...regardless, I totally get that newer Spark controllers may have wider arms. As for obstacle avoidance, good tip! Thanks for adding that to our Spark Knowledge Repertoire!
