I so needed this yesterday! I had one of my first flight with beginner mode off. The drone took off by itself and we couldn't control it at all. Only spinning. It was so scary! I love your videos, keep 'em comin'!

Thanks for the video and taking the time to produce a video of such high quality and content. I'm waiting for the arrival of my Spark and spending a lot of time with the manual and all of the KZbin videos, making sure I'm ready for the eventual "fun" of flight. The manuals are very good, but making the visual connection -when done well as have you- is invaluable. Thanks again.

Good video, but you left out something. When setting up your Spark and the remote, you are asked to click on a button on the DJI Go4 app to link the drone with the remote. This process times out after 60 seconds. For some reason, I cannot get my Spark and remote to link. I am using a wired connection between my phone and the remote. I was finally able to link the two using the Spark's WiFi, but not by using the wired connection. Any tips? Btw, after several tries, I had updated my Spark's firmware using the DJI Assistant 2 on my PC.

Mister this is an AWESOME Video. I just recently bought spark and got plenty of questions but you answer majority of them. The only thing I wanted to ask you is, it’s kinda confusing to me when trying to determine if the aircraft is facing you or facing forward when it’s already far away from your home point. You know that it kinda goes in reverse depending on where the gimble is facing. So, that scares the heck out of me. Any advice please? Thank you again for taking the time sharing your video.
@DroneSupremacy6 жыл бұрын
Hey Christian! My best tip would be to look at the lights of the drone (on the bottom), or simply try to use the video on the screen of your phone/tablet to kinda orientate better where the drone is facing. When you are far away and you can't see it, you can also see the arrow on the bottom left corner of the app which shows you which way the drone is facing. I hope that helps! Good luck! :)

How does the Spark do on relative closeups? I'm looking for a drone that will let me check out the gutters on my house, to see if they're clogged, and if so, where the blockage is...without getting on a ladder. I have a couple of lower end drones and those cameras do not let me view down at all, and even then I can't get very close without running into the house. Could you post such a video, or point me to one that already is posted? TIA

Thanks CJ! The first symbol sets the HomePoint as the aircraft's current position, and the second option sets the Home Point as the controller's current position (meaning you, if you're holding the controller).

I wonder how many people went out, never flew a drone, bought this and, promptly lost it in the ocean. They are probably still paying it off. Start out with an MJX B2W or a cheap drone to learn on. Make your mistakes on that. I waited like 6 months and got one of CL for less than half. Good luck! Learn to do a high speed banking turn in a figure 8 pattern, keeping your altitude the same.

Hi, Thankyou for your informative video. I am proposing using Huawei with the Android app. You say that Android is not so stable as IOS. How serious is the difference as I wish to avoid having to purchase buying an IOS phone?
@DroneSupremacy6 жыл бұрын
It's not that dramatic - after all, many people use Android and are flying just fine. Some occasional bugs appear here and there, but it's not a dealbreaker in my opinion!

@@DroneSupremacy Hi I recently watched Drone Valley regarding which and how to use devices for dji products. In short use a dedicated Android device free of apps and irrelavant progs with Android Lollipop and in the case of Apple suggests you should be fine with an Ipad mini 4. I have not tested my Huawei G5 for distance or range . I am hoping a dji store will let me do this. Drone Valley does not advise the use of your mobile or device you use for multi purpose. I notice you are using Apple IOS and therefore suggest you do not really know the performance of an Android device regarding video signal quality and range from a dji spark?
@flymoon246 жыл бұрын
I appreciate and thankyou for your reply.
@DroneSupremacy6 жыл бұрын
I've used a OnePlus 3T phone with my drones before, it was OK, but just like you mentioned - there were some small issues. A dedicated device for flying is a good idea, maybe a tablet or a phone that you use simply for flying. I however have never had any problems with using my iPhone 7 plus for flying which is my everyday phone. Good luck mate! :)

Hey there! To answer all of your questions: - Yes, the props are foldable and very easy to transport. - Depending on your area and magnetic interference, you might be able to fly up to 2km away - I ALWAYS recommend buying from DJI's official site directly - click.dji.com/AJMkka0GKr3q3rajN0VR?pm=link&as=0005 - Estimated time for delivery - 2 to 5 working days (this is taken from DJI's website) Good luck!

i really wish i could understand why these things only get 16 minutes of flight time.... i know a lot of people out there will jump to DJI's defense saying things like "its all the tech in them that drains the battery so fast!" but thats not the case... my cell phone has a 5,000mAh battery in it yet they're only putting 1400mAh batteries in these drones.... cant be a weight issue as my entire cell phone weighs about half what a Spark's battery alone does., and the only thing the Spark can do that my phone cant, is fly!
@Bampiss6 жыл бұрын
Smokey420Greenleaf yup that's the main thing. It's FLY & phone doesn't. It uses a lot of energy rotating the propellers & stabilising against the wind. But yeah 16 minutes is kinda sucks especially if you have only one battery. And charging it took hours!! That's the real issue
@Smokey420Greenleaf6 жыл бұрын
eh i still dont find that to be an excuse as they've been making miniature electronic motors for decades that can run off a single double A battery, and I've had racing RC cars that could do up to 60MPH on one motor for over 30 minutes while weighing about 5 times as much as the spark. they're intentionally gimping the batteries as a sales tactic because they know it will keep people spending $70 a pop for 15 more minutes of flight time. the charging time is worse still though, you have that right. my yuneec breeze gets about the same flight time but its battery charges in less than 20 minutes. dont get me wrong, the Spark itself is a great drone for its size class, had mine out over 2 miles away from me the other day, probably could've gone further still if it didnt have to RTH because of battery level though lol.
@justabill57807 жыл бұрын
WARNING!: Do not purchase any DJI product that uses their GO 4 software if your phone, tablet, etc. is running Android software. The latest version of their software is unreliable for Android. I was completely unable to operate my Spark and others on the DJI forum are having dropouts and fly-off problems. And DJI's solution to the problem is to tell people to get an Apple/IOS device.
