How can you restore tge factory default settings to the sliders? Seens it remembers the last used settings. Very annoying! Is there batch processing in Photolab 8? Excellent video though! Learned a lot.

Hello world. May I ask the following? If I use DxO raw and then export (I feel its import) into DxO photolab7 to do detailed work, do I need to assign the General > Correction settings > 6? No correction for RAW images, as well as checking the Automatically use superRAW noise reduction for DxO ONE Super RAW images and Automatically use Camera rendering if supported. I may have overegged the above question. If the corrections are already done in Raw, do you need to turn them off in Photolab 7 to prevent them doubling up? I hope that that is clear. Thank you to anyone who may respond.

Am I understanding? You are creating a DNG with PureRaw and then bringing it into Photolab 7? I would just use Photolab in the instance unless I wanted to use XD2 noise reduction which is not in Photolab yet. That said, I just took a quick look and it seems it is smart enough to work with the PureRAW DNGs without reapplying the optical correction and noise reduction settings. So Photolab might apply other settings like smart lighting, so you would want to know what else is being applied in that preset. Hope that helps.

Not sure. There should be a compatibility list on the DxO website... I have not really looked at the newest cameras. You could also try the Demo too and see how you go.

Thank you for a very helpful video. I just bought PureRAW and am very impressed by what it can do even with very high ISO images. One question: does the software sharpen as well as remove noise. In other words, do you feel the need to sharpen processed images in some way? I’m asking in general and not just high ISO images.

Hi there, yes there is a feature to sharpen as well if you have a look at the settings. It is on by default to my memory... but there are some different levels of sharpening you can use depending on the image. If you will need more than that will depend on your preference and the specific image. I often don't personally, but that is just my preference.

What is the point of owning Pure Raw, as well as Photolab, when you can export as DNG, "denoise and optical corrections only", from Photolab?

I think, as far as I can remember, I did say in an early part of the video that there isn't much point for Photolab users to have this and that I use it for my use case of large events where I take 2000 images and I actively don't want to look at the images before they have a little automatic work done with PureRAW then Radiant Photo - then I look and cull. Otherwise I can spend hours just poking through the images. Hope that makes sense. But I agree with you. PureRAW is primarily for people who use other editing applications... but want to get the power of DxO's processing.

Well I can tell you that support is terrible. I purchased this for a Win 11 machine but tried the demo first and it was so slow on an i7 with 8GB ram. I then upgraded all drivers but after the demo I had the purchased key and would not accept it, it would take me back to the message that I have tried the demo too many times. So I deleted it and all remaining left over files and reinstalled it and the same thing. Support has had this ticket for over 3 weeks and still no resolution, support is a joke! My least email to them earlier this week said if you cant fix it then withdraw my licenses and issue a refund. Still waiting....If you expect support think again!
