Not that it really matters but not everywhere is it true that you are only responsible after the meter. Where I live, in MInnesota, if it’s overhead we run a service mast and utility ties into that. In certain cases we also run to the transformer or to the bottom of their pole.

Yes, I have considered solar and I think we will eventually do something that can subsidize the electricity us in our house.

Joel! I have been watching these from your first video and find them super helpful and informative, especially while going through our first home build so thank you! I noticed the single “out” conduit from the box, can the power from the shop and the house go through that same one?! Just curious!

No, they will go through new conduit coming out of the new meter.

Joel, it does exist on his Roof, and seems pretty cost / energy effective 🙂
