Love the old Eagles. Drove my first one in '79 but it was a cabover. It was brand new and beautiful. Lots of pin striping and chrome.

Worked for a MAJOR dealer for 25+ years, not IH. About four year ago we took a number of IH trades with average of 1.4 million miles on each. While they did have all the issues you'd expect with that many miles, the cabs were almost tighter than new ones, very few rattles and squeaks. That's the result of having more metal than plastic, held together with screws rather than glue and velcro.

One way to figure out exactly where noise is coming from (in the cabin) is to park the truck in a quiet place and have someone put their phone with a neutral sound tone in various places around the cab with you inside, listening. Shouldn't be too loud, because it would overload the cab regardless in that case, but just enough to be noticeable. And you'll hear where gaps are. Gaskets not lining up or not fluffed enough to touch, gaps in the windows, panels etc.

Company I worked for in seventies had two. 4200 or 4300 not sure which. There was a company back in the seventies from Mercer pa. Tajon hauled coal buckets had a bunch of these. Nice looking truck you got there.

I worked on a bunch of those farmstars 4200 & 4300s back in the 80s almost every one i ever seen had busted motor mounts & the floor was busted under the seat ,the heater duct going to the defroster was blowing hot air outside the windshields would always be frosted up in the winter they were pretty cold inside in the winter time, IH rear end housings would always crack around the banjo, i made a pile of money back in the day working on those old rattle traps🤣
