Jake you are really a very, very fast learner!! God I wish the people I am working with (most of the time it is the owner not the horse) would learn so fast. The only thing I did not see is you cleaning her huf's before amd after riding but maybe you did not film it?? Your Body language is amazing, I see that you are feeling comfortable on a horses back. CONGRATULATIONS 👏👏🎉🎉🎉 PS: of you really want to get her through water maybe take her on a lead rope with you when you ride the other horse. This will help OR you take a lot of time and every time she does not go through water you have to back her up a few step's or make a tiny circle,..Make the right thing easy and the wrong thing difficult for the horse. All the best whishes and happy riding 🙋❤️🇦🇹🐎

Jake; wasn’t sure if you caught it or not? I believe she needs her teeth floated, that could be why she has a problem with getting a treat from the hand or picking things up? I’ve been trying to find your short with you dancing and Paris in the background watching. That was so very sweet.

If you have another horse that would go through the water she would be more likely to follow. Also, horses prefer to walk around muddy water like many humans would prefer to do. Horses don't like to step in unsure footing. They need to test it first. Thats why they splash and stomp in the water, they are testing the footing. If you know yourself the water is safe and your horse trusts you cuz you don' force him into scarey predictiments he will eventually get used to walking through water with you. Trust, time and safe situations. If you get your horse stuck in a bog you loose its trust for a long time, so you betterknow what your walking into.

Jake, there is an old saying…..”You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink.” It applies to many things in life but, for you, it’s literal lol. Her fear of water comes from a place in her past. She sure is a beautiful baby and you’re doing a great job with her. ❤

Seriously since it was said that no one has done anything with Willow in 10 years, the fact that you have taken the time to ride her and groom her even though you don't own her is remarkable. You own Paris and she should be given the priority of the two. You do the work of 10 people there and are the only one that takes extra care of everybody's animals. Stop listening to those people who seem to know horses and probably some do but it's your ride to do with what you will. You are doing just fine!! Willow has a lot of fears that you have been trying to help her with and Paris is just an awesome horse. Just do what you do with whoever you are with. Great job Jake!

Horses don’t like the wind, it takes away their ears which they need to sense danger. Mine always used to be on edge when the wind blew strong and we were out hacking.

@@horse-lover68 Are youi sure about that she acts the same way when getting near the trap. Did see her eyes as Jake led her near that trap. THAT WAS SHEAR FEAR. And she acts the same why when near water. Remember she comes from a place snakes in water are common and some of them are deadly.

people dont realize that not all the horses are owned by just one person and cant just hop on just anyone. Willow has probabaly been in flooding and bad experiance with water. PTSD dosent happen in just people.

Jake, the reigns should never touch the top of the horse's mane. That is where you are confusing her. You should find another way to video while you are riding. You need both hands on the reigns to steer her correctly and keep the reigns low so you can guide her left and right. Our perspective shows that you are not doing it properly. Please listen!

Jake, if people all want to tell you how to ride, then don’t tape it anymore until they stop complaining If they can’t be respectful to you, they don’t need to watch you.

Riding and training is a learning process and if you see giving advice and knowledge to help as complaining, you have some problems.
