Mutagen works on all tames, however if you want to breed the mutagen-stats, you can ONLY use the mutagen on the original wild-tamed dino. If the dino is already bred, it will give it the mutagen stats for that dino only, it will not be able to be breeded into more dinos, it will just come out with the original stats pre-mutagen.
