GETTING The FORD TW25 READY For The DYNO

The dyno day is coming up fast, so the Ford TW needed mobilising. Hopefully she puts in a good show. Comment below what horsepower you think she is putting out.

I put a lot of hours on a 25 doing heavy tillage, when the sun would start to set and cool off a bit the old girl would start coming to life.

I reckon 163 at the back end. It'll be cold and that'll help her along. It was pulling that Heston baler a few years back with no problem. Unless you've turned her down of course............ .

ive been where you are George, short days, cold etc on a Dairy Farm, only got time for what matters ,the Cows, water troughs etc, hope she bangs out some big Horses at the Dyno.. may be 138 hp at the shaft.

I always used to put a bit of vaseline on the terminals too to stop corrosion, don't know if you keep a tub in the same place as that brush perhaps...? You hauling that massive Ford battery reminded me of the fun hauling it up into my old 7610 back in the day which was above chest height as under the bonnet on those.

Hi George, Happy New Year to you. I am guessing the Ford TW should be 146 HP at the back end due to the compression ratio of the engine. Maybe you can update her with a couple of cameras to let you see from the front of the front weight linkage and another looking down at the back onto a LCD monitor so you have extra seeing for working with the tractor attachments? Also the JCB tractor could have the same set up too. 🚜

You’d never get fed up of that cold start on the old girl, I am interested to see the difference between the exhaust pipes, I’m thinking the standard (might) tone the power down just a little bit but I could be wrong. Make sure she’s warmed up to give her the best possible chance, I’m calling 147 at the back end, Don’t let me down darlin 🤞

Love seeing this tractor. We've got a tw-10 that's been down for months,I understand getting time to work on it. Always seems like things keep coming up to keep me out of the garage lol. I'm gonna guess you'll get somewhere between 148 and 150 out the back end. Good luck!

I seem to remember a video of it pulling a hesston baler a few years back and that would test any tractor so unless you turned down the pump a bit or something happened it off camera it should dyno around the same as the last time out

Even if she flops with the HP it’ll be worth it just to listening to her sing 😁😁. Be interesting is the straight pipe make a difference or not. Always wanted to put my trac on a dyno but I had a weeping rad. (just re-cord it) and never sure if the bearing block was ok.

Well we know a naturally aspirated engine does (we've proven that) so we now need to see if the same applies to a turbo'd 401. Any bets ?
