It has been quite a while since you have seen the slammed 52 Chevy 3100 AD truck on the channel. It actually hasn't been running for a while now. I keep saying I am going to ls swap it but it has been behind several other projects in the shop. I don't want to pull another one apart without getting one running first. In this video we figure out it was just a battery causing the issues. This advanced design 3100 has been with me longer than any other vehicle. I have no plans to sell it at any point and would regret it if I did. I love the look and I don't have to baby sit it when we take it places. Down the road it will get an LS Swap. I tired this sweet patina sauce a while back on my 1954 chevy 210. I really liked the way it darkened up the paint so I thought I would give it a try on this flat black truck. As you will see in the video the results are awesome. It makes the truck look so much better. If you haven't tried this sweet patina sauce it is worth it. I put 2 coats on over a 2 day period and drove it without issue. I absolutely love this thing and plan to do other videos down the road. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......

Looks great! I feel like it went from a matte black to more of a satin sheen. Definitely pops a bit more! What's funny is I just put in a Super Start O'Reilly's battery in my Trans Am the same day you posted this vid - the old battery finally died after 14 years in the car, I doubt I'll get that many out of this cheaper one.

Can’t wait for the LS swap. When you do the swap are you going to pin the harness yourself or buy one. If you are going to pin it out what source will you be using , Im about to start my own LS swap and would like to do the wiring my self but looking for a source and guidance. Love the truck

I’ve got a 1953 myself sitting and rusting away over at my grandmothers. I am wondering if a 99-06 regular cab short bed truck frame would fit under this truck because I have that and I’ve got an Escalade with a 6.0.

How does the truck feel after you buff of the excess? Sticky? Wet? Or does it kinda dry to the touch but stay with the sheen? Also do you need to worry about getting it on your aluminum/chrome trim pieces?

It is dry to the touch. You do have to clean the streaks off chrome or stainless
