I'm re-splitting some dry Poplar to mix into my retail bundled firewood. Hoping I'm doing the right thing. #4

Would you use Poplar in the bundles you sell? Why or why not?

All great channels.. I am,probably one of the few that don't do bundles. I would rather move wood out in larger qty than mess with small stuff.. Over all great video.. Keep them coming.

I'd weld in some expanded steel to the front and sides of that little trailer. Would be a really good upgrade, plus the wood won't fall iut the sides so easily when tossed in. Or plywood. Is more important to get the sood split and drying than to split it small right away. Depends on how fast you need the wood to dry for bundles. If all bindle wood snd no loose bulk like I do, probably best to split smaller right away ti save the hassle of resplitting later.

If you split up against a 6inch chunk that's 6 inches of less travel for the knife saving you hrs of waiting for the splitter

For size differentiation and to separate myself from the local competition, a good KZbin channel suggested looking into 1.3cuft bags to do something different and to offer something than the competition. Most competitors around here sell 0.75-1.0cuft bundles. For reference, a 9x9x16 is 0.75cuft, 9x12x16 is 1.0cuft, and 12x12x16 is 1.3cuft.

@@maddymaefarm5502, look back a few months for a delivery of ash logs in my video. Would've finished up that load this weekend but the saw flicked a piece of wood, or a stick, hard into my plums. In 3wks or so will have a load of basswood and ash logs coming into the woodyard.
