Love the look of the Bird Bikes. Did you use a lot of components from the old bike, seems so hard to get bits at the moment. Would love to do a complete build.

Hi Chris. I used the saddle, bar, cranks & brakes off the old bike. Everything else was new. I was lucky that I'd bought most of the new parts at the end of last year before things went mental. I'm liking the Bird more every time I ride it 🤩

This looks epic, and nice riding. Did you buy the frame and build onto it? How do you find the Magura brakes? My Deore's feel a little tired and would like something a little more powerful. Toying between the Magura MT5's and the Formula Cura 4's.

Thanks mate Yeah I bought the frame with the shock and built it up myself. The magura MT5's are brilliant. Most powerful brakes I've used. I used to have Hope & I've got shimano SLX on my hardtail but the magura's win for power 👍

What size frame are you running with the 180mm dropper?

I'm riding the medium long frame and I'm 5'9". I've always been on a medium frame so thought this would feel big but it feels great 👌
