Does the line effect what brakes you need to change

Thinner diameter lines will cast further and make the spool spin slower when compared to heavy lines, so yes, it could but I haven’t found it to be super critical. Find your brake patter that works for your casting level and go one up or down from there.

Yes, MGL Spool equipped reels will typically have the same 6 pin system. MGL Spool 3 systems will have the 4 pin version

Hi JP, unrelated but do you think there will be larger spool versions like a 500 of the Conquest MD? Would like just a little bit more mono capacity for the salmon fishing here in Norway
