Sounds like a small section of Garryown slowed down a loop or something.

So I've heard the shoe theory and I've also heard it plainly disputed by Park Rangers as being untrue. Which is it?
@jangiel31032 жыл бұрын
The myth about them going to Gettysburg because of a shoe factory is false. A lot of Confederates needed shoes. They also had worn out clothes. Their bigges problem was food and that was taken care of by two weeks of foraging in Pennsylvania. Of the Confederates who needed new shoes, they found them in shops, or, occassionally took them from civilians. Same with replacement pieces of clothing, as well as , grain, feed, cattle, fresh horses, etc.

@@jangiel3103 Thanks. I grew up in a town the Confederates marched through. Many times I find myself wishing they could have won that damn war. I think the CSA would be a better place to live than today's USA. My opinion.

@@rawfoodwriter They had no chance of winning, only getting the North to give up. We don't know how a new country in the South founded by people who planned to extend slavery through Central America would have turned out.

@@jangiel3103 Still believing it was about slavery eh? lol. Some day you might see the light

@@jangiel3103 They did have at least some chance. The CSA lasted 5 years. Why did the Federal Government allow that? Oh that's right, they didn't! They were pulling their hair out in D.C. wondering what they could and should do. lmao. The South kicked ass. And tbh, it was not started over slaver. Parts of the North had slaves right up until the War. It was the war of northern aggression.
