Gettysburg: Ghosts in the Mist 2 ☁️

So, i HONESTLY wasn't trying to recreate the first one, one-up it, or pander for likes and shares. On this particular morning, the fog was not in the forecast, it was unanticipated, and actually came as a disappointment. It wasn't what i was going after. Though, after many trips to Gettysburg, i surmise that the fog is probably fairly common. There's no river nearby, but there IS a good network of interconnected streams. Again, the entire town is situated in a shallow depression, or geological basin. And more moisture rolls in off the South Mountain range.
But it was very early morning, well before sunrise, and i was actually hoping for some classic sunrise shots, in tones of lavender, rose, muave, creamsicle, and lemon custard. Well, what are you gonna do in such a situation. As i always say, you play the hand you're dealt. Tried to mix it up slightly by crossing the road and ending at the Meade Monument, which is always impressive. Better luck next time.
But i WASN'T trying to carbon copy the first video. i'm not cheap like that. If i ever INTENTIONALLY repeat it, it will be MUCH different, and SUPER awesome. i'd state my intentions plainly, and it would have an entirely new name. Promise.

Just returned from a trip to Gettysburg. If you’re not moved by the sacrifice on BOTH sides, you must be emotionless. Too bad there aren’t more monuments to Southern troops.

Yessir! Wholly agreed. First couple CW vids i did were on Point Lookout Prison Camp for Confederates here in MD (few errors, e.g. average age of soldiers), and the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD, where they lined up Confederate dead from the Battle of Monacacy in a very slim row, then dumped the rest in a mass grave. Speaks loudly. And poorly.
