Circuit that Lincoln travelled in all kinds of weather in a one horse buggy in Ill sleeping in different places every night different beds and homes was very difficult away from his family . He stuck to it in very arduous work. He knew what hard work was. He also gained very good judge of character during his job and gained a lot of stories

Lincoln had a way to look at hisself as a third person. He could stand outside himself and look at himself and had a Genius way to lead . He was truly a genius and he saved the north and the country and keep us from being two separate countries. His death changed everything and sadly we still suffer today even . We need to learn from Lincoln and lead our country back to greatness.

My comment below was poorly written....rather as many expected the ills of slavery to dissipate on its own. They were sadly mistaken. Yet many of the electorate of today expect the dishonesty constantly issued by the White House will self correct on its own. As the horrors of slavory did NOT dissipate on its own, the deep seated ills of today's White House will also not dissipate w/o the exercised voting powers of those with values & principles.

Lincoln was a great man brilliant and the right President at the right time. He was loaded with common sense. Sadly his wife was a source of constant pain to him, possibly she was a narcissist. She was into the occult which caused her mental illness in the extreme. Mr. Lincoln was observed by Walt Whitman to have the saddest eyes that he ever had seen, When he was asked at the last hour at the Gettysburg memorial to give a speech, he sat down and wrote The Gettysburg Address in ten minutes.It was said that he became a believer in God’s plan of salvation and was born again when faced with the loss of so many young men’s lives at that battlefield. He prayed often and warned of the Jesuits. I believe that without Lincoln the south would have won the war., It was Lincoln who strongly advised Grant and Johnson to “ let them down easy! “ / the south.He had a premonition that he would be assassinated. God save him!

Too bad Spielberg didn't use Quelzo as his special advisor on making a film about Lincoln that covered this area of his life leading up to his attaininjent of the presidency, in addition to Doris kearns godwins book of Team of Rivals. Lincoln's rise to national prominence was one of the most significant events of great fortune and destiny, if one beleves in destiny, in the entire history of the USA. Underestimated by all of the people who came up against him on his rise to office. And underestimated by the extremely wealthy plantation owners of the economic powerhouse of the south, which represented the largest share of the USA export economy to Europe and the rest of the world. To think, a country bumpkin with a two person law office in Springfield IL, brought all of this down and redirected the country on its continued path to every citizen's right to freedom, eqyality, and tge pursuit of Happiness. Any African American who has been conned into believing that Lincoln was not a great supporter of the abolition of slavery, has been deluded by lies and deliberate misinformation by those seeking to rewrite history for their own benefit.
