When it comes to K9 detection training, it can be dangerous and hazardous for dog trainers to handle volatile material such as Fentanyl and many explosives. Leerburg has worked with Getxent's patented technology to create our K9 Odor Training Kit.
The kit has been designed by Ed Frawley to take the risk of working with these dangerous agents our dogs are expected to locate. 3 Getxent tubes w/ storage vials 3 magnetic odor boxes 1 pair of tweezers 1 durable case The Getxent tube is an innovative polymer tube that can absorb and emit odors. It can also simulate a large quantity of your target scent. To absorb odors, simply place the target sample and the Getxent tube in an airtight container for a select amount of time.
The chart below is an example that shows the duration required to simulate large quantities based on exposure to 1kg of target sample in an airtight container.

Then, you can use those tubes with TADD jars to extend the life of the scent and avoid contamination

I approached the company that makes the Getxent tubes. The TADD jars are not in the same category. These tube are much safer to use and they absorb more odor and give off more odor. They are just a better way to train detection dogs. Ill be posting a lot more videos on this.

When working with the actual oils contamination is a problem, even with careful handling. Do the tubes reduce this?

Getxent was originally developed for medical purposes. In fact there are dogs in Europe that have been trained (exactly like the dogs in my detector dog course) to indicate on Covid. The dogs are 96 to 97% accurate. To do this requires a receptacle to collect the odor - which costs about $900.00 (not cheap but it works) When I have time Ill be doing videos on it.
