This is one of the reason why I have always like Magnificent Century more than Kosem. Both series are very dramatic and sometimes over the top but Magnificent Century rarely overdone it and the conflicts were, most of the times, very interesting and engaging. Kosem, on the other hand, had some absurd and forced conflicts that just felt exhaustive in the long run. Ayse and Farya, Gevherhan and Atike, etc. This so-called conflict were just absurd and boring🙄

Tell me if I'm right here, as I only had time to watch the end (because I know that's where the juicy stuff is) but I'll come back to it later... I watched the end scene Murad comes off as either the eldest or the second child. The son, the heir, the precious boy child. Mr Alpha Male control freak. He would have been Sultan regardless of his age though Geverhan also seems like either the first born or the second child. Anything she actually _wanted_ was ignored, either to hurt her, exert control, she was a woman and considered not as important or because it wasn't "appropriate" and others thought better. Atike feels like the baby. Pampered, cosseted and short sighted. Jealous of and likes to hurt her older sister and gain the approval of her powerful brother. Doing whatever she can to get whatever she wants while not fully understanding the extent of the consequences. At least not until it's too late.
