I’m a traditionalist of the game for the most part, but premiership medals is the one thing I wish was awarded to all of the list. They all contributed to the team who wins on Saturday, all of them at some point put their blood, sweat and tears into the development of the list, culture, training standards, community and growth of the Club, and have their body’s go through almost the equivalent of a car crash every weekend, weather it’s in the 2’s or AFL level to help their team win the hardest prize in the game.

Agreed 100%. Decades ago the first side didnt change all that much. Now clubs need (in some instances) all 44 listed players to survive the season. Its time to give everyone who played at least 5 games a medal if their team wins the flag.

Had a better 2nd half but yeah would be disappointed if I was a Pies fan. I'm just a long-suffering Fantasy Keeper League owner who thinks he can be a star. Extreme pressure game a lot of players melt. Will be better off for the experience.

She is well respected but not deservedly, she has involved herself with AFL since she was in high school her father was president of the Richmond football club mid 80s to 90's and she thinks by combing over statistics, understanding trends and making both on the fence and bold comments makes her an expert of the game, it's not just her in my opinion if you haven't played the highest level you shouldn't be able to criticise players like fat hutchy shut up

I am getting concerned - this is the second time that I completely agree with Cornes. Lipinski's inability to perform under any physical pressure has been obvious since his return from injury. He is not going to get open space in the grand final so I expect more fumbling and mis-kicks.

Brisbane has not played Collingwood at the MCG since 2017. Instead of deliberately avoiding the MCG you would have thought Brisbane would have wanted to play as many games there in front of big crowds as they could. Despite condemning Collingwood's decision to recruit McStay now the commentators believe he is a player they cannot afford to do without.

This is Brisbane‘s year. They’ve been competitive for the last few years (except in finals) primarily with the same team and some serious but specific issues to works out. If they have sorted them out, they handsdown have the most solid team from defence to attack and just need to rock up one more time. This is coming from a Port supporter - certainly no bias.

Exactly, I dread versing Brisbane because they’re so deadly both in the air and on the ground. Collingwood is all pressure, without it, there’s not a lot to fall back on in terms of being a cut above the rest. That’s probably why so many games go down to the wire.

It's going to be a hot Saturday. Both teams shouldn't go in too tall as taller players fatigue quicker in warm weather. I'd expect the Pies to hunt in a packs for the first half and then in the last quarter if they have are ahead. Just lock the ball in on the wings and squeeze Brisbane's run and carry then wait for a clearance when the chance in on. Like to see Noble back and Ginnivan play longer. Nick Daicos is a huge in! If McStay was in and Taylor Adams was fit someone would have been dropped. Lipinski must have a target on his back? He's been walking the tight rope for months now with poor disposal usage. His finals efforts so far have been ordinary. With a Grand Final anything could happen. Lose a few crucial players in the opening quarter and it will cost you. This game could go either way. Does Brisbane have a back up ruck man? Interesting that the Lions have not played the Pies on the MCG since 2017. That may play a factor also. Watched them play Collingwood at Marvel when the Pies were depleted. You get a feeling that the Pies didn't show them all the cards.

Its often the case, about 10% of what he says its pretty outlandish and for clicks and most people fall right for it and cant help but comment on every single thing he does which just drives more traffic to his shows. Except for his little go on the McKay/DeKoning situation near the end (15:55). The guy was off for 1+ quarters for HIA, no wonder he had less disposals than the week before. He also had double the hitouts so I just think that part was a little poor. He's a little spastic about constantly wanting McKay off as well when he brings so much to the team. Take a closer look at the wins though, One at the Gabba when Collingwood were the first game with no recognized ruckmen. (and kicked 11, 17) The second game was at Marvell, with no Nick Daicos, De'Goey, Moore, Bobby Hill or Mason Cox. They're all back playing now. Hey, Brisbane did beat The Pies twice, but conditions were more suited to Brisbane in both games. Will be interesting to see how things go when The Pies are near full strength and at their home ground, The MCG.

Collingwoods selection problem is an easy fix. Bring in Ginnivan, go small. Have mihochek as the main target. Have cox go forward for 5-10 mins here and there, same with Cameron. The game plan should be a small forward line with Mcstay out.

Hutchy is really clutching at straws in regards to the Blues fans clapping the team off after the Prelim loss and comparing it to GWS… GWS had no one at the G to clap them off… I am sure they would’ve been clapped off by their fans as well if they had any there. Showing Toby Green crying in the rooms and comparing it to Carlton being clapped off… I don’t really understand the comparison? I’m sure the Carlton players were just as gutted!
