G5 BMY 1.4 TSI twincharger 103kw 2007 Works like a charm.(Do NOT lube ,it will burn away and stuck as turbo gets hot) Factory sound --- whoooosh DV-psssh (short one) or with 20psi+ it can make Stututututu (need throttle to cut off on proper boost ,not easy)

@@TzouPhotography I have air intake upgrade (KN) as well so more air comes in kompresor+K03+with DV gradually opening ,if you let off gas in right rpm there will be enough air left to make Stututu. But note its on twincharger engine so kompresor surely helps this. Also its not very noticeable from inside.Its still small k03 so its just decent stutu :)

Nice installation but beware if you have a VW Touran 1,4 Twincharger., The DV will not fitt easy because there is no space. The area between the connectionplug and the black plastic pipe that comes from the engine is to small. After replace the DV with the GFB i could not pull the connectionplug on the DV. The black pipe is the problem here. The black pipe from VW Golf can be pulled away a bit but the pipe from a VW Touran has a screw ans it is a very solid construction. So i had to pull out some screws and try to create space by using some force on the plastic unit behind the engine and the pipe that goes into the engine. I did not like the way i had to work but i had no other option.

Does this efects the accelaration? An audi a3 has that problem....when you step on the gas ...the car starts shaking back and forth like there is no enough presure in the turbine....or there is not in anough fuel presure

We haven't had any issues with the diverter valve on these engines. We don't make anything for the supercharged Mini so I'm not sure about any issues on those engines.

Do you mean you're trying to install a boost gauge? There are a few places you could put this such as in the line that goes to the fuel pressure regulator. It will be different on each specific engine and I don't have any specific instructions for your engine

Hello! I have a vw golf plus 2007 The engine that I have on in that car is an 1.4 TSI engine. As I'm seeing in the video that's exactly the same engine as mine. Since I bought that car, when I go out and give the car some beans. It seems that it isn't having any problem with the boost, or actually sometimes it's boosting pretty much A LOT and the turbo sounds like it's suffering from overboost. But sometimes I noticed that that's just me giving the car too much beans basically. Anyhow everytime I return and give the car a read/Svan for faults I get the error code P2261. Does changing my dav has any potential of making that error disappear? Thank you in advance!

I've installed this on my golf mk6 tsi 1.4 2010 160bhp. The other day Without the fat spring behind the piston. No error code at the moment showing. Migh have to drive it for longer and see how it goes

@Joe Andaya thanks for your answer. One thing to note though I think your engine is not the same engine that I have on my mk5 golf plus, mine is twincharged which I think was not installed to golf mk6 as far as I know of. My engine code is bmy.

There are three key benefits of the DV+. Boost holding, throttle response, and longevity. Given the age of the engine, if it's still on the original diverter valve chances are you'll at least notice a slight improvement in boost holding at high RPM. The throttle response improvement is there regardless of the condition of the OEM diverter, because the DV+ operates differently. Typically you'll notice this more on a manual vehicle than a DSG, but any time you drive aggressively on and off the throttle, the DV+ will improve the return to peak boost. As for longevity, the DV+ will last longer than the car, that's for sure.

Where can i get this in S.A? I have an issue where at 3000rpm my car feels like it's smothering, as soon as i release the throttle there's a small gain up until it reaches 3000rpm again. I'll check for an error code just to check it again?

3000 rpm? You gotta have your “regulating intake flap” changed or cleaned if you know how to. The thing in this video will definitely not gonna help your issue.

No this valve is not designed to change the sound. This is a fully re-circulating valve, not vent to atmosphere.

I did buy a new rubber gasket and the problem was over. my VW Tsi 160 hp is 10 year old that may have been the problem with the gasket.

+Ihsan Mujdeci GFB's claim is that the factory diverter valve in VAG 1.4 twincharger engines can 'leak' pressure, especially if the engine is chipped to run higher boost - this fixes that. Their second claim is that the factory part vents as a default, and only closes (to hold boost) when the throttle is pressed down, which can cause a delay when changing gears. The GFB part will gradually shut once the excess boost has been released, so it's already closed and ready for when you put your foot back on the gas.

Hello, I'm not really sure what noise you mean sorry. There isn't any sound demonstration in the video. This valve is designed to be a performance oriented replacement for the stock valve. It's not designed to vent to the atmosphere for noise

oh now i get it. No they come with turbo only. I have a twincharger 1.4 and it's running beautfully after 110k miles, The only thing I have to replace is the timing chain, and it cost only 350€, so I'm really pleased with my car. Hope that you get a nice one too! Regards

Hi Duraid, The fault code that might appear is P2261, but it is caused by the ECU detecting a difference between the GFB main spring and the stock spring. If it appears, it does not mean the DV+ is faulty and does not cause any issues to the turbo or engine. If you don’t want to have the fault code appearing, you can solve it by removing the GFB main spring.

@@gfbvideos thank you for the reply, I have a VW Passat VI Variant (3C5) 1.4 TSi EcoFuel Engine: CDGA year: 2012 Biogas/petrol, ECU Flag fault code P0236 Turbocharger Boost Sensor (A) Circ. ：range/Performance. All three pressure sensors checked they were OK. When we checked the DV we found that it had an intermittent stuck. The question can a bad DV flag the fault code P0236?

@@gfbvideos I should of explained it a bit better, your product works perfectly, it's the factory air pipe where the clamp is with the 2 bolts, there a o ring seal in there that seams to blow off everytime I give it a bit of throttle

+Daniel San Same function as a blow-off valve: It relieves excess boost pressure from the compressor side of the turbocharger (EG when you take your foot off the throttle quickly while changing gears). However where a BOV vents into the atmosphere (making that 'tshhhhhhh' sound people love/hate) it diverts the air back into the turbo inlet, which works exactly as well but is a lot more legal for road use in a lot of jurisdictions.

Diagnostic shows me the eror "check engine" and tell me to change that piece. I changed and remove eror and after 2-3 days it shows up again for same....I dont know what to do

If the fault code you're seeing is P2261, this is discussed in detail in the T9355 instructions. It doesn't mean there's a fault with the product, but it does mean the ECU is able to detect the difference in operation between the DV+ and the OEM diverter. If the engine is tuned, it can be more likely to throw that fault code with the DV+ installed since the difference in operation is more noticeable. Ironically, the difference in operation is how the DV+ improves throttle response, but the ECU doesn't know that, it just sees something it doesn't expect. If you remove the main spring behind the piston in the DV+, this should prevent the fault code from popping up. It does mean you lose the throttle response benefit, but you still get boost holding and reliability.

@@DawidSzypulski It doesn't cause any issue, but it is annoying on the twincharger 1.4 engine because it's the only engine in the VW/Audi range that lights the CEL when the P2261 code pops up. All other models simply log it in the background. It's important to understand that in the case of the DV+ it doesn't indicate a fault, it indicates that it has detected a change in diverter operation. The DV+ has been designed to balance throttle response and attempting to fly under the ECU's radar whilst doing it, and in most cases it does. If the ECU keeps throwing that code with the DV+, it is a good idea to confirm that removing the main spring from the DV+ prevents it. If the code still appears with the spring removed, there is another issue causing it that needs to be addressed.

Hi, our DV+ works by replacing the plastic valve parts of your OE diverter valve with an anodized billet aluminum housing and brass piston that ensures strength and reliability no matter how much boost you run. Our pilot-actuation system allows the valve to progressively open in response to boost pressure. By retaining the factory solenoid as well, the DV+ is able to open and clos reliably without ever exceeding the solenoids capability.

Hi Erik, It's a bit hard to diagnose a sound without being able to hear it. The T9355 should make the same amount of noise as the original valve so it's normal for no sound to be heard if the car doesn't have other modifications
