Imagine your child opening a gift from your friend and this is their reaction. Would you be embarrassed by their behavior? What would you say to your child? More than likely you'd be mortified and your friend's feeling would be hurt. I'm a teacher and I can't tell you the times I've received something that smelled awful or taste awful. It truly is the thought that counts. You said that Mark used to buy you flowers. Just think now he's actually growing you flowers so that you can enjoy their beauty all day, every day.

Sometimes people cannot envisage what a young plant will turn into and I think this is Nadia's problem. The garden is now getting colour into it as things start to grow and it is looking lovely thanks to Nanny Di and Mark putting so much effort into it. Would be nice to see at some point Nadia and the girls giving a helping hand too - perhaps they could all leave their phones in the house and help do some weeding one afternoon!

Love the channel and the content but honestly, I think Nadia needs to stop being in the GFH unless she wants to help more as every time she's in it, she seems to say something negative and it has an instant effect on Mark which you see on his face. My parents raised me to realize even with my ADHD and lack of control on my thoughts and how they came out and my struggle to control my mood will affect other's and if I couldn't put it in a constructive way that wouldn't put anyone else or their efforts down then to keep my gob shut... so my advice is Nadia if you have the same problem as me with needing help to filter what you think and say, keep your mouth shut and think if mark said this to me would i get upset and if the answer is NO then don't say it., but could stand for everyone in general
@ndpeg5 жыл бұрын
Gabby Thomson I suspect that on some level Mark knows that Nadia will keep on hating the boxes of twigs and lovely greens he orders for her but gets a kick out of her reaction, which makes her the foil and gives these vlogs some (perhaps unnecessary but enjoyable) drama.

Love GFH !! Nadia it was lovely to hear you praise Mark and Nanny Di for the transformation of the garden. My mum is an avid gardener and I can't get her to 'take it easy' even though she is 81, I get tired watching her lol She grew agapanthus from seed and now has a beautiful long border filled with just them - when she moved house I dug up the whole lot to transfer to her new garden, worth every muscle ache as she would've been distraught to leave them behind especially as the new owners didn't want them.

Mark get Stephen to make you some planters, you can buy the trellis for the back, then paint them a nice grey which would look very contemporary. You can also buy stone planters but they would probably be very expensive. Sure Stephen the creator of many things could help and with the right colour paint Bobs your uncle, plus you can decide how big you want them, 💕👍

Love achillea, hardy geraniums are fab ground cover and agapanthus will remind you of Cornwall. 😉😊 The later likes it’s roots restricted though so are great in containers. Crocus always do up the plants like that...we’ve just ordered 3 varieties of Echinacea from them...you must get some...Nads will love them ☺️Witch Hazel is great for Piles...I should know I used it after giving birth 2 all my 5 babies 🙈 Love the plants...fab shrubs for winter interest when you see those fragrant flowers and then leaves in Spring/Summer. The rose you discovered is gorgeous. Now I’ve said before but I’ll say it again...Oriental Poppies like that won’t self seed. To propagate them you have to take the seed head, out it in a freezer bag in the fridge for months to recreate winter and them plant, something like that...not actually tried myself. I did say previously, if you cut of flower stem and cut the leaves back to just above ground level you can get a second flush of flowers. By chance perhaps more than design you seem to have created a bed with a lovely colour scheme of shades of reds/pinks...it’ll look amazing next year.

Poppy seft seed the head dry out and tiny little holes appear in the head, the breeze or wind shake them out. The ruby-red, gooseberries when ripe (usually mid-July) with a tangy outer skin. The fruit is perfect for bottling and preserves, but if left to ripen fully can be used as a dessert gooseberry too.

Your peony, like all flowers, needs watering regularly, especially when they are freshly planted to help them grow. But too much H2O can lead to the peony plant being over-watered. And if they have been planted in soil that doesn’t drain well, they will get ‘wet feet’. This can cause the beautiful flower to suffer from fungal diseases, hope this helps

Your peony needs some shade & sun mark. So if that bed is sunny nearly all day you may want to reposition it to a spot where it gets a bit of both? Also instead of weeding all the time. Weed once well, & then cover bed black weed lining and you can cut large crosses/holes in the lining when you want to plant in the bed. When you are done with the bed cover the lining up with bark chippings? Or stones- what ever you want. (Much less weeding needing then!)
