The Mitsu' uses a 'blind screw', meaning it doesn't come out of the shroud. The hole is large enough for the 3/32 allen wrench to actuate the screw.

Awesome video! I thought you had a guest host for a second until you took off the hood. The Bane mask looked to be pressing on your brow a little too much, I'd recommend some sort of cushion. Keep up the good work Sire James!

The Mitsurugi 3k is based off a sword that IIRC is called the Samurai 2000, which, though not made for the show, made a brief appearance in the series The 100. It's a pretty good design. My only disappointment is that when Vader's Vault created it they went with a tsuba around the emitter instead of the hook "guards" that the sword had. Would have made a slick Sith saber if they'd retained the hooks. Wonder if they would do a modified one as a custom order?

Use WD-40 on the areas that are tightened up. Spray a good bit on them and watch it to make sure it sinks in around the tight areas (it usually always does, even if you cant see it). This should help loosen those areas up. Just give your saber a wipe down with a paper towel or piece of cloth after.

Hey SirJames, had a quick question for you. As previously stated on another video, I have recently purchased myself a SaberForge custom saber. And I was wondering, do SaberForge sabers use a CFX soundboard? As I am very interested, in downloaded specific character sound fonts. And most company sound fonts, especially Khyberfonic use CFX files.

Depends on what electronics tier you selected, but the Hero tier uses the Golden Harvest v3, which is compatible with CFX fonts

STUCK SCREW: if the screw is spinning but not backing out of the thread , using another Allen key use the short end to push pressure onto the other side of the screw. As you’re pushing on the other side of the screw creating pressure try backing the screw out. Sometimes the threads get a little messed/chewed up.
