Yeah, that was one of the few cool things they did. Taking parts from a personal item to make into her lightsaber was a nice touch. I still wish she had started out with it in episode 9 as opposed to the reforged graflex.

They’re built to accommodate a specific kind of blade so that people don’t have to buy fifty adapters or blade styles and still have fun for kids to dual with them. Not to mention that Legacy is the $100 range and anything else can be $200+

I love it! I have Luke’s reforged Episode 9 saber, a cheaper Luke saber, and Leia’s saber from The Pach Store. Would love to add Rey’s to my collection! This one looks really good and I love the fonts you added! Really looking forward to KR Sabers’ version. I think I’ll wait till that one is out and then decide. 😄

I really like that saber and LGT are a good company. I bought the plain black handle version because i wanted the external charging port. I haven't messed with new fonts yet but so far I'm partial to the Empress Palpatine font. Just a scary sounding hum on that one.

Most V2.2 proffie board do have a Rey sound font as one of the preset fonts and it comes with the ignition effect. I have LGT 2 proffie neopixel lightsabers and they both have it.

I don’t know if you can help me, saw this video and had to order this? LGT however the volume seems really low? My setup seems very basic there’s no audible volume speaking like “volume level 7” etc it’s just beeping and hard to decern and the files that it came with feel like can basic fonts that come on all sabers I don’t think they have any accent swings or fancy stuff? I’m having a really bad time figuring out this proffie setup can you share your config and fonts files for the Rey you setup it looks and sounds perfect ? New to this world

Thanks for the review! Congrats on the Saber, looks great! LGT sabers are good budget hilts. The only thing i do not like about them is the proffieboard they use. Everytime you change your config, have to flash it with Zadig which is really annoying to me.

The blade looks a little to yellow for me. In the movie it's more orange/golden like and not the lite yellow like the temple guards have. But besides the hilt looks pretty cool and I think you can change the color in the more golden

Dark Saber nailed it with functionality/realistically but failed at details light Disney Legacy... to rebuild one and incorporate a rocker gear switch in a Legacy would be THE Ultimate Scavenger build (my goal)

Are you using this saber on full volume? I got an obi wan proffie and barely had the volume half way up and it was crackling when I was swinging it. I’ve sent it back and I’m getting a replacement, but just wanna know if anyone else is having or had issues with the volume having to be super low in order to not have crackling

Solid review. I also own this saber and purchased it directly from LGT. I was pleased with the fonts that it came with and really love how Rey's saber ignites. My only concern so far is with the gear switch. It has become stiff at times and is a pain to fix. It could just be an issue with my particular saber. I'd love to know if you've had any issues with it yet. That option you implemented to twist to turn it off is something I should probably consider doing. I love your wrapping as well! I did mine using gauze and baseball bat tape.

I bought the Darkwolf version. Do you know what the default features are on that one vs the one you bought? I know you added some of your own fonts. They advertise 23 fonts, which is pretty good I think, compared to the number that other companies typically offer.

@@tuckerward9158 I don't remember how long it took. That was a while ago, however I don't think it was very long. Unfortunately, it was a proffie version, which was the only one they had at the time. Personally, I happen to hate proffie. Since then, they've issued a Golden Harvest version, which I would have bought had it been available at the time. In the proffie chassis, the battery is easy to get to, although I don't know about the GH. I think that's different. I did find the twist control at the top very sticky, and I've never gotten the hang of how to turn on the music. The problem I have with all the GH LGT sabers I've bought from them is the chassis design. The chassis, at least on the replica sabers, is a royal pain in the ass to take in and out in order to get to the SD card and the battery. You practically have to disassemble the entire saber, e.g., the Dark Saber. Also, I've never had any luck with the inhilt chargers. I'm going to get rid of the DW Scavenger. I bought an empty Savenger hilt from KR Sabers, and am having it installed with CFX by an independent installer, even though that's a lot more expensive. (I'm doing the same thing with the Ahsoka Thrawn Hunters, which I also bought from KR Sabers.) I do wish you luck and enjoyment with your purchase. Sorry for the long-winded answer.

@@tuckerward9158 See, for me it's the opposite. It's much easier to add new fonts to the GH board. It's even easier (in my opinion), to do it on CFX. From the number of proffie videos I watched, I decided it was far too much trouble than it was worth. But again, that's a personal choice. (You can find a lot of KZbin videos on how to add new sound fonts to a proffie saber. Just type into the KZbin search bar, "adding fonts to proffie sabers". You'll find a whole lot of stuff.)

The font he demos is a concept of Luke from TLJ. In RTOJ it actually had a super high pitch power on and harmonizing swings. While Luke from the Mandalorian has the same ignition as RTOJ but a badass deep hum. Is that what your referring to?
